Does anyone else get occasionally tricked into thinking that Kevin Millar is playing today? This Pillar kid has to go....

Why is Workman still pitching? These extra inning games are killing the bullpen.
Edit: And there the double and continuing to pitch. Don't like this move. Hope it works

LOL at Workman for letting Encarnacion waltz into 2nd base. That was a double-play ball, too.
Yet another brutal loss.

Jesus another boneheaded move by Farrell.
As soon as Encarncion steals second you walk Lawrie. Get the force at all bases.

Right when you think SEA can hold on Zobrist triples with no outs in bottom 9th.

And Tampa has tied their game.
Bases loaded, no outs at home vs. Sea - I think you can just ink that in as a win for Clearwater.

And Tampa rallies to win its game. 2011 all over again.... Napoli is the Mark Bellhorn of this team. But Mark Bellhorn wasn't an intergral part of the team, he was just a sidekick who hit 9th, played 2nd, struck out a ton and hit some HRS.

A good pitch and he could have been struck out. If you walk the bases loaded with one out. You have to bring Britton in to face the lefty with no wiggle room. I'd rather have Workman trying to strike Lawrie out. Oh, and Workman has been a starter. He only pitched 2 2/3 innings. There was nothing wrong with him starting the inning. He hung a curte to Davis. The only other right is Ruby. You'd rather have him facing four straight righties; Davis, Joey Bats, Encarnacion and Lawrie than Workman?? Please.

Tough loss. I'm looking at our schedule and just thinking, damn, we need Clay back ASAP.

Tough loss. I'm looking at our schedule and just thinking, damn, we need Clay back ASAP. If you look at next week's sked, we miss Cain and Baumgarner in SF. We miss Kershaw and Grienke in LA. Would like to get some early runs for a change. Even though we're traveling. SF and LA each fly home from Miami the day before our series with them. I just wish we were off Monday instead of Thursday. A lot easier to travel from SF to LA than Boston to SF eh??

Rays only down 1 game in the loss column again. Really be nice to put some distance in there. Also be nice to somehow not struggle with ave or below average pitchers like they have been so frequently on this road trip.

Esmil Rogers has shut is down more then once this season... so its not something "new" in a way

Salty hit a cpl 2 baggers tonight and Napoli hit his 1st HR since the 18th dynasty in ancient Egypt, but other than that? Right now, there are 3 guys in that lower third with a combined K rate hovering around 38% and OBP barely over .300. Think about that.

I went to the Yankee game tonight, simply to boo A-Rod, and I suggest you all do the same. Anyway, I didn't watch the game yet saw that Napoli came through in an extremely clutch way. I don't care what else he did because that is absolutely huge. Anyway, I come onto this board and see nothing but complaints. I generally feel the same way, but if you guys want/need a break, take a game off and enjoy whatever you have to enjoy! Sure the Rays won, but everyone knows that this will be a race until the end. Enjoy what Ben C and company have brought us because most people (especially on this board) expected this team to win <85 games. Go sox!

Compare that to, say, Shane Victorino (.335/.411) or Jonny Gomes (.342/.428).

Doesn't like a big worKload to me. He basically has a start in Houston on Monday last week. Throws 20 bleepin pitches on Saturday. That's like a bullpen. And, with 3 days between appearances. I don't think we over-taxed him this week. Who would you have pitched in the 10th if not him?

Also be nice to somehow not struggle with ave or below average pitchers like they have been so frequently on this road trip. Primary culprit: Dustin Pedroia is hitting .194/.286/.286 in his last 28 days. For all the complaints about Napoli, he's been better than Pedroia in that time span (.190/.312/.367).

They have been struggling a bit and the Red Sox haven't taken advantage. You know they have another run in them.

Gomes sits an awful lot of the time, then *might* get 1.. 2 AB's a game if he's lucky. Hard to get a rhythm going like that and Victorino? Other than playing totally outstanding defense, something none of those other 3 come in the same solar system of, he runs outstanding, steals bases, is other than Pedey, the best #2 hitter the team has had in years. He likes to hack, yet doesn't K much, nor walk and maintains a decent avg, just not OBP. Noticed ya left some posters here hero WMP out of ur post tho.. the red headed step child of dragging down any offensive stat imaginable... :-(

I like Victorino just fine, but Salty has not been a black offensively and has been better than Victorino with the bat thus far.
