Win game two and three. Steal game one.

I think we will make the playoffs. But, the Orioles are our biggest threat to missing them IMO. We are 5 1/2 games up on them. But, we have 9 games left with them. Only 4 in the loss column. If they were to win 2/3 in each series, the lead in the loss column is one and overall 2 1/2. Need to win at least one of these series. Let's win this one and that way there isn't as much pressure the last couple of weeks. Pressure to win the division, not as great as missing the playoffs.

These guys aren't as good as they beat us most of the time they think they are.
Win the series, steal what you can (Chen has looked tired this month - NO EASY INNINGS!), leverage the home field, and send them out of town with their tails between their legs.

Drew starting again. Smh.
Kid's batting like .200 against lefties and Farrell starts him against an excellent one.

Send Xander back down. Why call him up for use against lefties to not use him against lefties.

Per Speier:
RED SOX LINEUP Vs. Orioles & Chen Jacoby Ellsbury, CF Shane Victorino, RF Dustin Pedroia, 2B David Ortiz, DH Jonny Gomes, LF Mike Napoli, 1B Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C Stephen Drew, SS Will Middlebrooks, 3B Felix Doubront, SP
Anyone else think Farrell is SO stubborn he's going to keep running Drew out again lefties because he said he would no matter what?

I'm actually more upset Xander doesn't start at third tonight. Middlebrooks is 1-8 with 5 K's in the last two games.

Start Drew against the righties... There are plenty of them.

Notes his HR vs Giants sidearm LHP, says he's not pulling off vs LHP Did Farrell take note of Drew's 2013 .198/.248/.372 or career .236/.293/.396 line against lefties? Nah, forget that, clearly his previous 3812 career plate appearances mean nothing in light of ONE HOME RUN he hit. Hey, Ryan Howard has THREE home runs against lefties this year. He must hit them amazingly well! Your 2013 AL Manager of the Year, folks.

Weak single, bloop single on a broken bat, HBP and then he got mega squeezed in the AB vs Roberts.

FUCK YOU Exactly. Game would be tied 1-1. I'd be happy if he ended up giving up only 1 run in a bases loaded, no-out situation. Unfortunately, the ump squeezed him pretty damn hard and Salty stabbing at the ball didn't make things any easier.

I do believe if you bring up a guy like this he needs to play or keep him down so he plays everyday. Drew has been solid though. Frustrating.
