Anyone else notice Pedroia's wearing a compression sleeve?

Why I prefer football, that lazy effort by Middlebrooks gets called out in the film room

Congrats on the Division tittle!! and now lets pinch hit for Drew against leftys in big situations. I know he's still very raw at third base, but I'd kind of like to see Bogaerts start for Middlebrooks against righties and Drew against lefties. Does anyone trust his defense enough at third base for him to start a game or two for Middlebrooks in the postseason?

Congratulations to the 2013 American League Eastern Division Champion Boston Red Sox!!! I never saw that coming.
Hope I don't see Koji until Colorado, hope Victorino gets plenty of rest. Tazawa could certainly use some time off. Pedroia could use some rest. A day off or two wouldn't hurt Ortiz or Salty either.
Hope to see lots of Bogaerts, hope Dempster gives me some hope in middle relief and I hope Doubront can turn things around, and a few quality ABs by Ellsbury would be awesome, too. And oh yes, somehow come out with the best record in the AL and manage .600 ball (98+ wins).

What a year! Congratulations to the (at least should be) manager of the year John Farrell, Cherry Darling, Stephen "Pink Bat" Drew, Pedroia, Lackey, that washed up dude who DH's, Koji for being the best reliever ever, Hanrahan for quickly going to the DL, Nava (hope you got to grand slam Erin Andrews), Victorino, Ellsbury, and one big special thank you to my main homie Keith Couch for being the best pitching prospect ever.
Now let's get that World Series.

Just got back from Fenway. A very cool experience to say the least. Definitely a special moment given the last two seasons.
Thought they could contend for a WC before the season. Never did I expect they would win the division, let alone run away with it

None of us did. The idea that it might be different grew gradually as moves were made, but everything had to come together seamlessly to get this result. The bargain-bin pickup of Carp, the roll of the dice on Drew, the one-year deal with incentives for Napoli after the physical, Ortiz learning to live and even thrive with the chronic pain, Victorino's revival, Ellsbury's second act, Buccholz, Lester, Lackey, the relievers who relieved the relievers. all of it played out like some sort of board game.
What looked like it might work ok, turned out great instead. For me it eclipses last year's muddle, makes it a minor part of a larger puzzle. All the pieces of that puzzle fit real well right now. Don't know how the playoffs will unfold, but this regular season has been nothing short of fantastic.

You forgot Bum Jonny Gomes!!! True that man, let's also not forget Brayan Villarreal, who faced one dude and walked him for a loss. That's straight cash!

I would be pissed if we had to wait for the outcome of this TB game to know if we clinched...

I would be pissed if we had to wait for the outcome of this TB game to know if we clinched... Nothing like completely ruining your bullpen and rest of the series starters to play 18 innings. If you win you can deal with it. But whichever club loses will point to this game if they miss the playoffs Edit: 30 seconds after I post this the Rays walk off with the win. Could spell the end for the O's

Would've been nice to watch the celebrations but I don't have access to NESN here and had plans for the night anyways. Let me know if you guys find any good videos of the celebration!

What a regular season! There had to been 8-10 games that this team won where we all thought there was no bleeping way they were going to win that game. Battled every at-bat all season long and it showed.
30 runs scored more than the next closest team Detroit. Also, this team is on pace to have the fewest runs allowed in a season since the inception of the DH 40 years ago. Not counting strike years of course. That's an impressive feat.

I'd just like to tell all the doubters to pound sand. Some of us never questioned this team, and it's good to see our faith rewarded.

Wonder if Dirk Hayhurst will accuse Buch of loading up the ball again, for dominating a terrible offensive team again today when he dominates the Jays. He should dominate them now considering their only offensive threats are Lind and Reyes.

The more at bats and innings in the field that Bogey gets this year, the better for us next season. I'd also like to see Ortiz get some work at first base in the Colorado games.

Hate to get way off topic, but game time is a ways off. Is there a more unlikeable personality on any local show than Lou Merloni?
