Farrell thinks he's up a game. He doesn't get that he should be managing this game like it's game 6. You lose you have to take 2 of 3 from Sanchez, Scherzer and Verlander AGAIN. Not a high probability there. Peavy would have been out of the inning if pedoria didn't fu9k up an easy DP ball.... This is not all on peavy

He walked three guys in the inning, two of them on four pitches-- just inexcusable.

If you walk Austin Jackson on four pitches, you deserve most of the blame.
Salty, Pedroia and Farrell should share some of it, too.

Farrell has no blame - give it a rest.

Terrible, terrible game so far.

Why is Peavy still in the game? He still can't throw strikes and there are a couple relievers who can go multiple innings.

Its the end of the world! Everyone sucks! Tough start but got a lot of game left and if we lose the Tigers have to take 2/3 from Lester, Buccholz, and Lackey. They haven't proven that to be easy for them....

FOLKS, POSTS WITH PROFANITY FROM HERE ON OUT ARE GOING TO JUST GET DELETED OUTRIGHT. WE RELAX THE POSTING GUIDELINES BUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH WITH THE GRATUITOUS PROFANITY.

Brian MacPherson @brianmacp A 1-2-3 inning is great and all, but Peavy still fell behind 2-1, 2-0 and 2-0 to the hitters he faced in that inning.

Why they have to strike out a lot? Fisher isn't strikeout pitcher as the first 3 Detroit starters. It's awful plate approach for all RS hitters.

Brian MacPherson ?@brianmacp 1m Stephen Drew is 3-for-26 with a walk in the postseason.
Get him out of there. No guarantee Xander will perform but it won't be that bad.

Fister OPS allowed with bases empty: 1000. With runners on: 125.
Peavy OPS allowed with bases empty: 286. With runners on: 1225.

Again: why is Peavy still in the game? He's still falling behind everyone and getting hammered when he's forced to meatball them up there.

(CAPS USED TO STAND OUT, NOT TO SHOW YELLING, FYI) I'm sorry, man. Will not happen again, just getting a little heated. This game hasn't gone well, but I'm optimistic overall. I don't know why, but I am. As long as they avoid Verlander (in a good way), I'll feel confident.

4th starter is your 4th starter for a reason, still no excuse for the walks but Pedroia simply needs to be better than that.

I still cannot believe that Jake Peavy walked Austin Jackson on four pitches with the bases loaded.

...and now Miguel Cabrera steals second base without a throw. That kinda night.

Does the word "Fister" count as profanity?
