Win lose or draw, the bullpen is the area Ben should look back on, 9 outs away from a WS and its Morales and Workman warming To be fair, three guys who were supposed to be the core of the back end of the bullpen all went down to season-ending injuries ... Meanwhile, could you even get even money odds on Xander being RoY next year?

Good God, really? You don't bring in Breslow here? 2 on, no out. Who cares about the 7th. Tis is the game right here and we're putting it on Franklin Moralies!?!

edit-Game over, Combo quick hook and another non gut check performance by Clay, now we look at Verlander in game 7 "Gut check"? Really? Buchholz missed three months with an injury and then rushed back in time for the playoffs. He just doesn't have the stamina to go a full outing. He was throwing 89-90 mph against Cabrera, compared to 92-3 earlier in his outing. It's not because he didn't care hard enough or whatever.

Sox got lucky that last pitch by Clay was a single and not over the monster.

Edit-Furthermore, It's not about "careing" Its about digging in an giving more than you normally would -See Lackey, nobody asksed for a "full outing" but the two pitchers that battled for staff ace couldnt get you into the 6th the last two games

Sox got lucky that last pitch by Clay was a single and not over the monster. Thought the same thing. Pitching up to him is dangerous, got lucky

The manager also apparently doesn't have the Stamina either. Another horrible decision.
