My bad, I thought he was gone to TT before Johnny Freefall got there. The TXTC (Texas Tech, I assume) threw me off.

Daniel Jeremiah reports Josh Gordon may be facing 1-year drug suspension. Must have been tough to trade away the chance at Sammy Watkins... Losing Gordon hurts but passing on Watkins and netting an additional 2015 1st round pick in the process shouldn't be something they regret in hindsight. This is a deep WR class. There are plenty of starting-caliber outside receivers still on the board (Jordan Mathews, Latimer, Lee, Robinson) without getting into the upside project types (like Martavis Bryant), slot receivers, and situational deep threat/special teams types (like Richardson & Herron). The Browns had more pressing needs than WR to address in the 1st round, even if they're playing without Josh Gordon for 2014.

Oh certainly, they fleeced the Bills, no question about that. Will the regime be around long enough for Haslam to appreciate it, though?
And now they select Bitonio... oh well Manziel doesn't need anyone to throw to anyway, he can just scramble all day long.

ASJ to the Bucs at 38. I don't think there's any way Jace Amaro makes it to the Pats at 62. If he's their guy at TE, they're going to have to trade up.

Cyrus Kouandjio looks really shocked and pissed off that he's going to be spending the next few years in the State of NY.

Ouch. Not only are the Pats not getting Amaro, but he's going to the J-E-T-S!

I don't think there's any way Jace Amaro makes it to the Pats at 62. Unfortunately the JEST got him. How on earth did they figure out that they actually need to draft skill position players once in a while?

Ouch. Not only are the Pats not getting Amaro, but he's going to the J-E-T-S! I groaned with that pick. Amaro is a match up problem. Size, catch radius, the ability to lineup anywhere, and willing to block. He would have been an upgrade in the old Hernandez role in 12 while also capable of playing in Gronk's position in 11 packages when Gronk is inevitably out.

Pats picking coming up
I always yearn for WRs, but Cody Latimer would be nice to have
But I can see the Pats going with Martin, the C from USC. Or maybe where there is smoke there is fire, an the AJ McCarron rumors are true.
Wow, the Jets get Amaro, and the Broncos trade up and take Latimer, my two 2nd round targets go to the two most hated teams.

49ers get a 2015 4th rounder for the price of a 7th rounder and one spot in the 2nd round. That's a Belichick-class move right there.

This is one of the ultimate moments I wish I could be in a war room for, to see the look on the faces of two other teams that got played like a fiddle. Once they see the second completed deal.

Hey A.J. McCarron... U mad bro? Anyway, a QB wasn't what I was hoping for. But let's see what happens. Hope we can flip Mallet to Houston.

Somehow I have to think of all these mock drafts a month ago with "Patriots consider themselves lucky Louis Nix III falls to them at #29" or something like that.

49ers are having a phenomenal draft, especially for a team drafting so late.
S Jimmie Ward RB Carlos Hyde G/C Marcus Martin
Not to mention here they come again, and as mgoetze mentioned early, they stockpiled a few extra picks as well with some savvy maneuvering.

I'm hoping Bruce Ellington makes it to the Patriots at 93. If not, I'd be pretty happy with Devonta Freeman there.
