I am curious about Kevin McAvoy. He was bolded as having signed in the header of the draft news thread but now the bolding has been removed. Is there a hangup ?

No hangup. It should be official in the next day or so.

15 Trenton Kemp $250,000 ($100,000 towards cap) (bonus confirmed)
Either the bonus is wrong or the amount towards cap is wrong.....

I dont get the feeling Steen wants to come here. He is a good basketball player also.

Gunn, Tellez and Show are signed? They are listed as 'signed after selection' on the team rosters page.

Here's a prior Sox draftee comp for Ockimey, in terms of prospect status, position drafted, and bonus.
Ockimey's a LHH 1B who was not ranked in BA's Top 500, but was drafted 164 and was given a slot 116 bonus of $450,000.
We once drafted a LHH 1B who was not ranked in BA's Top 200 (in the days where they went no further) with the 204 pick, and gave him slot 104 bonus money, although only for $370,175 (adjusted for inflation), as the slot recommendations were lower in those days.
And that of course was Anthony Rizzo.

I'll wait till I hear it from Shepherd; there's a good chance that that web page was simply constructed by someone given his full name. Realize that a similar thing happened when the Sox drafted Ed Rice. Only Ed never told anyone "no one calls me Jim," apparently because he was too shy, and the mistake stuck.

With the GCL season beginning in 4 days, I was hoping we would hear of some more signings......especially Chavis....this weekend. I'm sure someone would have made a comment here by now if they'd heard something. I know we have a lot of time left on the ticker, but I want to see Chavis and Cosart sooner rather than later.

Mike Andrews is killing it with bonus predictions. He got it pretty close for Sam Travis.
2 (67) Sam Travis $850,000

Actually I haven't done very well so far, compared to prior years anyway. Travis was easy because he got slot. Completely whiffed on Ockimey and Moore. Was close on Mars, Kemp, Shepherd, Betts, and Hill.

Related: Can you explain (or adjust) the Steen estimate? I don't understand how a HS guy signs for below 100k. For that matter, I have him over slot for the 9th round.
ADD: have = guess at

When it comes to the MLB draft, this site is incredibly strong.

Really could anyone of guessed Ockimey would have gotten 450K? Or even that he would of been drafted? Not saying it's a bad thing, Sox must of loved his scouting profile.
