This offense...man I love this team, but they are in a rut right now. We do have some pretty incredible pitching (and pitching depth), though. I'm still so torn on whether they should buy or sell at the deadline. I guess only time will answer that question.

The a's should have more fans. What an under appreciated team.

Mujica quieted his detractors very quickly with that great save recently but ... having him in the 10th inning still doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

I mean; I can understand bad performances of top notch relievers on small sample sizes (High BABIP, High HR/FB%, RISP) but the way this Mujica guy lost the strike zone goes over my head!

That has to be called a strike. Idc about the poor frame/batter ducking out.

What is the latest update on the A's being able to move out of there? I don't really get why moving to San José would be encroaching on the Giants fanbase... Aren't they already kind of doing that?

Wow. Props to John Farrell for finally stepping out of his little box.

Rubby looking sharp today. He needs to, too, if we're gonna win this game it'll be 1-0 or thereabouts. Called it.

**** Mujica. That sums up my feelings from today You can replace Mujica with Farrell. Farrell knew what he was doing. Mujica was at least trying. I don't think this team is a contender. Its getting to the point where I am really not minding the losses because it could come in handy when we're battling for a top 10 pick.

Yep. Anyone who thinks this is anywhere near a playoff team is definitely a homer. Team is 100% awful. Needs a tear down and sell off.

Welp, we could probably get some pretty great prospects for Jon Lester, Koji Uehara, Stephen Drew, Craig Breslow, and co. Let the kids play.
Also, I think JBJ is probably a fourth outfielder. Hoping to see Mookie soon.
And Brock Holt is my hero.

By the way, it wasn't quite in time, but very accurate throw to the plate by Brock Holt on the last play of the game.

I suppose the A's winning the first three games is to be expected. The A's are using proprietary metrics to field a superior team while we're reading about "effective velocity" and acting like a bunch of cavemen who just discovered fire.

Shoulda read more about effective velocity. Koji threw his slow fastball up and in where it has exactly the effective velocity of a league-average fastball! That's why Coco was able to hit it without adjusting at all!
