Alex Speier @alexspeier now7 seconds ago Farrell says Sox plan to get back to 5-man rotation after weekend. No announcement who exits it, but Rodriguez, Porcello pitching Tu&W. Well, it won't be Buchholz. I guess the final round of auditions begins today.

So a third of the way through the season and this team hasnt had one game where they put up double digit runs.

I think Wright leaves the rotation. I don't think they bail on Kelly this early in the season.

"I think Wright leaves the rotation" ___________________________________
I'd agree with that. I hope he spins a great game and gives the FO something to have to defend if he gets sent down.

Let's face it, if Wright is doing really well through 75 pitches, Farrell will just hook him at that point.

Kelly is still going to be feeing the heat too. If Wright can pitch well today and Kelly gets shelled, Kelly could be the one out. Playing the odds, I would say Wright gets bumped out though.
OT: Does anyone's iPhone constantly correct Kelly to Jelly? Mine is relentless.

He'll be bullpen bound if he even comes back up at all.

Unless he starts doing dramatically better I don't even think the front office would do that. We'll see though.

Yeah, I think he'll need to show he can get AA and AAA batters out before he gets called to Boston. It seems that something is broken with him and he may not be able to get it fixed. They put him on the DL to make sure he's right physically and get him pitching better. If looks like the Masterson from the first month of the season, but also against minor leagers, I don't think the front office is going to put him the starting rotation in Boston.

From 108 Stitches today:
RODRIGUEZ VS. HISTORY: Rodriguez’s first two starts have been nothing short of dazzling. A quick primer:
■ According to Elias, he’s the first pitcher since 1900 with at least seven innings in which he allowed three or fewer hits and one or no runs in each of his first two big league games.
■ Rodriguez is the fourth big leaguer since 1914 to debut with two starts of seven or more innings with seven strikeouts and a yield of one or no runs, joining Orlando Hernandez (1998), Tom Phoebus (1966), and Karl Spooner (1954).
■ He’s the second pitcher since at least 1914 to reel off two straight outings with seven or more innings, seven or more strikeouts, and one or no runs to start his Red Sox career, joining Pedro Martinez, who had three straight starts of that ilk to commence his Sox career in 1998.

E-Rod's next start at BALTIMORE should be interesting.

At least Kelly and Miley won't unfairly profit from the knuckleball hangover effect in their final audition starts.

So two crappy ground balls that should have been outs and were hits, and one laser beam that should have been a hit but resulted in an out.
Baseball.

Bogaerts was a couple inches from an RBI single rather than an infield hit. At least we made Milone labor.

Castillo gets killed by the inside strike call. Must be his stance or something because it's pretty consistent.
