Im looking forward to the day Farrell starts respecting Xander and bats him in front of guys like Brock Holt. (And Napoli for that matter, but baby steps.) I'd consider batting him 3rd.

Napoli has been getting on base a ton and Bogaerts has been getting base hits. I'd rather have Napoli in front of him for now. Nap and Castillo both got boned by inside strike calls. The change up is destroying the Twins today.

That was a weird swing on that home run.

So, Rodriguez is going to give up runs pitching in the major leagues. That's too bad.

Agree with the last few posts on Xander - gotta love what we've been seeing from him lately. I'm no expert, but he looks night and day compared to the hitter that struggled a bit early on. Very happy to see it. Now hopefully we start to see more XHB - I seem to remember him being a guy who always started slow in the power department as he rose through the system.

It's a joke having a man behind Holt and in front of Leon. It's been a joke all year with Farrell and this kid.

I'd consider batting him 3rd. Ya'll realize he's got a 98 wRC+ this year, right? Yes, but if you start splitting it out, he's at 122 in his last 12 games, not including the single today.

Good he's finally getting comfortable, keep him there. As it stands, Bogaerts has the highest Soft% in baseball and a LD% hovering around 16%. He most certainly is not a better hitter than Napoli right now.

So was that considered a high leverage situation for Hanley? Just went with the pitch and found a hole.

I barely remember what a big offensive inning looks like.

So far 3 walks in 2 games. Clearly not ready.
