Backing up Eric's theory that Sandoval is not a morning person...

Oh hey and how about that Sandy Leon, catching the day game after the night game!

And I thought Swihart was ERod's catcher.

And I thought Swihart was ERod's catcher. Tim Britton @timbritton 55 min. P.S. Swihart's "familiarity" with Rodriguez was overplayed. Last week was only second regular-season game he'd caught him. Tim Britton @timbritton 55 min. The first one was Rodriguez's first game in the organization. A lot of Carson Blair and Humberto Quintero since then for Rodriguez.

Yeah, but Leon's like 100 years old and probably should've gotten the night game because of it.
But OK, Farrell, you just threw down a marker - no more sitting 22 or 23 year old catchers with the excuse "day game after a night game" if the pitching match-up is better for the young guy (which is because Swihart > Leon in general offensively).

Interesting since Swihart was always gonna catch Wright in the Thursday afternoon game.
Right when you think you have something Farrell does consistently pegged down, you don't lol...

I'm wondering about Bogaerts' hits to the right of the 2B. He has probably done the same thing close to 10 times this year. Is it a skill? Or are teams just not shifting correctly?

Pedroia worked a lot with Xander during the off season with his Defense and especially his swing. i like the progress Xander has made, he has cut down on his strikeouts significantly.

I love watching Rodriguez pitch, he makes it look so easy. Thank you Ben for making that trade!

Phil Hughes might not want to throw those inside pitches to Mookie in the next at bat.

Hughes, Fastball, Fastball, Fastball.... I like how we are attacking, this aggressive approach is better to watch and should produce runs.

^really the only approach against a strike thrower like Hughes.

I wish I can say that only in Mike Winters' reality does a ball traveling through the batters' box equal a strike but I have seen this far too much this year. If MLB wants its offense back it would seriously penalize this. Or re-open the gates for PEDs.

Rodriguez isn't exactly hitting his spots right now. His stuff is so good that mistakes are rarely capitalized on.

Just as Remy pointed out, Rodriguez delivery is so fluid and natural. His Fastball has so much movement and is keeping the hitters off balanced. We have ourselves an ace!

I <3 Eduardo Rodriguez. He's so much fun to watch ... a guy with electric stuff who works as fast as Wade Miley.

Im looking forward to the day Farrell starts respecting Xander and bats him in front of guys like Brock Holt. (And Napoli for that matter, but baby steps.)
