Joe Kelly is closer to Woods ERA than Clay is to Miller's. Who would have thought?

I can't wait until tomorrow night. If Papi, Hanley and Sandoval are all on the field at the same time, will the earth continue to spin on it's axis?

Dropping Mookie back down to eighth seems questionable.

David Ortiz will play first base tomorrow night, per John Farrell #RedSox
I was briefly excited by this tweet before I remembered that they are on a quick visit to the NL.

Napoli looking more and more like the odd man out as Hanley (and Pablo too) look more and more hopeless in the field. I don't think we can afford to run Hanley out there in LF for much longer.

Mookie Betts bWAR is up to 2.2 (fWAR is 1.5). Combine that with his .268 BABIP that is finally on the rise and his fantastic K rate of just 12.2.
That puts him tied w/Brock Holt and Dustin Pedroia at 35th in the league so far this year in WAR.

He'll never have the batting averages that his K rate would suggest if he doesn't fix it.

What do want him to say? "Wow, I guess we really F-ed up this offseason. We'll overreact and shift gears in out decision making process."

Reminds me of Xander last year, who has clearly made the adjustments and improved himself. I'm sure Mookie will get there too.

David Ortiz has played at least one game at first when the team is in an NL park for just about as long as I can remember. In that sense, Napoli has always been the odd man out in those situations. You can read as much as you want into it, but those are pages from the same book.

Peterson and Freeman smoked those two balls. Kelly doesn't look too sharp, but he's always erratic and hittable so no shocker there.
