Toronto wins again. Looks like the Sox won't help them catch the Yanks tonight with white flag in. These games are still more fun to watch with the young guys playing.

Can someone explain to me why guys like Napoli, Breslow, and Masterson are still on the roster? This organization is just so bad right now. Napoli doesn't belong in this sentence. Yes he does. He still belongs on an MLB roster...but not the Red Sox's. He serves no purpose here.

Generic Breslow sucks comment Isn't he up for the 10th player award or something?

I've said it in a couple other places, but Masterson is useful as a veteran long reliever on a staff with so many young arms. He's pitched pretty okay since moving to the 'pen.
Breslow, though... feel free to carry on with the ranting. Not sure why he would be in the majors while Tommy Layne - who is clearly better and should be evaluated fully to see if he can help next year - is in Pawtucket.

Maybe Breslow should pitch every inning for the rest of the season.

Perhaps Farrel should bring in position players off the bench in relief.....instead of the bullpen.

Walked Mario Mustache and allows hit and another run. For the love....Farrell needs to get a freaking clue. His managing days are numbered. Maybe another AL East team will pick him up...fingers crossed.

It's probably not fair, because the farm system is in good shape, but there is no reason Ben Cherington should be allowed to begin next season as the GM. The product on this field is atrocious.

For some reason this reminded me of the time last year when Farrell brought in Will Middlebrooks to pinch hit for Joe Kelly in an interleague game, and then had Middlebrooks bunt, even though Joe Kelly is probably the best bunter on the team. Back to the present... Unlike the 2012 an 2014 teams, these guys didn't need to trade the core of their roster to fold in August. Well done?

Maybe another AL East team will pick him up...fingers crossed. There's no solution with the team Farrell was provided. He overuses Tazawa and has no other good option. If you're watching the sox for bullpen pitching at this point in their year, you're watching for the wrong reason. Let the kids adjust, and ignore the inevitably crappy remainder.

That should solidify Breslow as the worst relief pitcher in the major leagues. If he throws another pitch for the Red Sox, they are only trying to tank and for no other reason.

There's a lot of give up in this team. I disagree. The Yankees score runs against everybody. The Sox are just supremely out-talented. Wait until tomorrow with Wright against the fireballing Severino.

Final score, 15-0, with Wright giving up every run because Farrel hates him and won't take him out. Severino with a perfect game because everything goes right for the Yankees in every single scenario.
