I know it was off of a position player, but... This is nuts!

Let's just say, if JBJ keeps this up, all the teams that declined trades for him at the deadline are going to regret it. JBJ would be a star if he hit for a line of .241/.333/.456 year in and year out. You do realize he left those numbers in the dust.

13 RBIs in the last 5 games from the #9 hitter.
He has raised his wRC+ to 126.

Does Cook throw anything other than mid-level 94 MPH fastballs these days? He was a borderline elite setup man just a couple years ago.
I'm so happy for JBJ, and really hope we can find a way to work him into our outfield next year. Hanley to first base kind of needs to happen, IMO.

Given how bad our pitching is, I think having great OF defense should be a big priority.

@spenney83: 25-year old Jackie Bradley is the youngest player in last 100 years to record at least 5 extra-base hits in a game, per #RedSox

Torey Lovullo now has more runs scored in his first two games as a manager than any manager in the history of major league baseball.

Sucre never pitched before in pro ball, not in minors. Although as a Venezuelan, he likely has taken the mound in the winter.
19 pitches, 15 strikes.
EDIT: see response below that points out that he pitched a scoreless inning in June.
