Anyone know the best way (or if it is even possible) to stream Celtics games (I'm in the Boston market, so I assume blackout rules apply.

[Mod edit: sorry, we can't have you posting illegal streaming sites.]
You can do ESPN3 for ESPN games obviously, and TNT probably has a streaming app at this point.

You can stream Celtics games through the CSNNE website/app, but you have to be a CSNNE cable subscriber.

They're in position to have cap space for a couple years at least. I'll take the team that's gonna make the playoffs AND have a top 5 pick. I hope they are patient with this... They have been so far so hope it continues and they don't sign the wrong guys. I'm very happy watching this product so take the time and do it right

Results don't lie but how does the Isaiah/Marcus combo look (I've only seen the box scores)? I've been too busy to watch the games but I certainly love the outcomes. Maybe I'm too obsessed with the idea that the only guy I see capable of being a star is someone who folks seem to think is better suited as a 6th man. I gotta start watching some games. I think Smart is the guy most likely to be a star not Thomas. Thomas is what he is, which I think is good enough to be one of the "three" best players on a top team if the other two compliment him. But ideally he's that fourth piece. He's instant offense which is key in a lot of situations but less important if you have other star players.

Impressive. The Celtics played so hard that they got McHale fired.

I just hope the demise of the Rockets doesn't lead to Danny making a trade for Howard (Clint Capela is actually playing well for them and DH can be a free agent).

It's kind of depressing to realize that even if the Nets finish with the second worst record it's most likely the Celtics get the fourth pick... We all know that it just sucks reading it or thinking about that. This team is so fun. Can you imagine the future if Ben Simmons were added to this crew? How fun would that be? To go with the draft picks and cap room and the coach and what else is here? I want that and it's so unlikely to happen. But just the chance it could is the path Danny needs to take.

To separate the posts. Stevens and Ainge have done a great job of making a fun team for fans to follow and players to play for. They are also flipping the script on how to build a great defense.

It kind of sucks that Boston will get the Warriors on December 11th at the tail end of a 14 day road trip during which the Warriors will have played 7 games, including two sets of back to back games. That being said, the Warriors will still probably beat the Celtics.

The Celtics current team is fun to watch and I believe will probably win about 48-50 games this year making it to the second round. But with all the assets Danny has to use I believe the future roster is going to be very different. What is really exciting is that once he makes the trades and or signs the big names to build that roster the C's will still have more very high draft picks in the next few years to augment that roster. The Nets are not going to be good anytime soon, so I expect to be drafting a top 4 pick for the next 3 years. The futures of the Sox and the C's are looking pretty good based on the assets and rosters. That and also the C's seem to have really hit a HR with Stevens!

Unfortunately, I disagree. The Nets have a ton of Cap space and a couple nice young players so they will get back to being a crappy team that's not a bottom dweller this offseason. Not saying they are going to make the playoffs but there's a difference between where they seemingly will finish this year and the 7-12 pick range. Although, great players still come on that range so it's exciting.

What nice young players do the Nets have? Hollis-Jefferson is OK, but he's more a future role player than a star. Other than that, I don't see much there on the roster. They have cap space, but so will just about every other team in the league.

Why would anyone choose to sign with the Nets? And saying they have a couple good young players is being generous. RHJ is okay. Young is decent. There's a whole lot of meh there.

Yeah I don't see much there as far as young talent goes on the Nets. RH-J could be a really good defender like MKG or Tony Allen or something but he's not going to be a star. The only other decent "young" players on the team are Thad Young and Bojan, who's basically a shooter and not much else. Thad could easily get traded this year to a contender for a back end first rounder.
Basically every team is going to have cap space and it looks like most teams are locking down their good young players. It's going to be hard for Brooklyn to attract FAs with that team to play with when they won't really have the financial advantage either. I do think they could get some mid tier players and get out of the first third of the lottery though after this year or the year after.
Edit: lol others replied while I was typing mine out

Lopez is an Allstar caliber player and that's huge in the NBA. They will over pay mid tier players and get back to being a solid enough team to not be a bottom dweller.

Maybe, but I don't think that will be easy to do. With the cap on what players can make and the huge amount of cap space, they might not have the opportunity to.

No idea why Rozier plays and Hunter doesn't.
Edit: just a despicable performance tonight. The D is dreadful without Smart.

It's not dreadful without him. It's dreadful when everyone isn't at full bore. You can make an argument the Nets starting 5 is better than the Celtics. The Celtics strength comes from extreme depth and their coach getting players to play incredibly hard within a system. If the effort level drops the quality of play falls off a map. Plus, if their shooting goes cold they are screwed and unfortunately they don't have any great shooters so that's bound to happen.

Thin line with this team between being a terror to other teams or a cake walk. Smart is looking more and more valuable with each passing game. .500 won't make the playoffs in the East this year, going to be interesting with fewer teams tanking to see how it plays out.
