Well well well a closer in a position to do what he's paid to do in the inning he's paid to do it !!!!! And doing a stellar job at that .

This is painful. It's clearly in his head. He can't throw strikes. He should be pumping fastballs down the middle right now.

“@ryanhannable: Farrell said Kimbrel wanted to get back on mound regardless tonight. ”Had very good stuff,“ Farrell said despite two walks.”

The bats really came alive tonight.
Good win!
Who would have thought we would have two 10 game winners at the All star break and neither would be named price?

“@brianmacp: Farrell said the fluoroscan Shaw underwent on his left foot at Fenway Park was inconclusive. Quite a bit of swelling after a foul ball.”

is there anyone left who still believes that Bradley is an elite defensive CF? Because you haven't been watching games this year if you do I believe that absolutely, and I've watched at least a portion of most of them. If you mean to castigate him for the ball that bounced off the corrugated doorway and away from him in just about the deepest part of the park, then maybe you never played baseball. I watched Beltre and Andrus, two of the better fielders at their positions, open the floodgates earlier with flubs on much easier plays. The defensive metrics can be flaky, but at this point he's in positive territory at both FanGraphs and BP and he's collected 8 assists. So yes, I'd take that. Much more relevant is that a lot of ML teams would also.

Is Wright turning back into a pumpkin? This will not be popular stance buuuut what would an all star knuckle baller command in trade Timing is not, let's say, wright. With the problems this starting staff has had, now is not the time to consider moving one of the few things that's working.

With the problems this starting staff has had, now is not the time to consider moving one of the few things that's working. Besides, since he's really broken out just this year, given the general mistrust of k-ballers and the aversion to them among most organizations, it ISN'T likely you could get much for him. He needs quite a bit more relatively consistent track record before other GM's would truly believe. [Glory Hallelujah!!]

Much more relevant is that a lot of ML teams would also. I & several others agree with you with the likes. With a lead & not a one run lead in the late innings, I would prefer JBJ go for that ball all the way to the door. It's either a double or a triple if he pulls up anyway. If Mookie busts it immediately towards the play, he may have held him to a double, but not likely.

Is Wright turning back into a pumpkin? Let's see, all in all he has 4 terrible to mediocre starts: The first one was under a pouring rain, the second in an extreme weather conditions too where it was humid and hot in Texas, the third was when it started raining again and for the last the wheels came of when his manager tried to squeeze another inning when he was already over 100 pitch. So no, I'm not worried.
