Some of the Ground Rules are applied loosely in here, as we understand that there is a tendency to want to react (or overreact) to every play of a Sox game with one line reactionary posts. Those posts are okay in the Red Sox Series threads to a point - we certainly appreciate the passion. Just try not to overdo it, and try to maintain some semblance of reason. In addition, please don't let those type of posts spill over to other more substantive threads, where they may be deleted. -The Management

A good lineup if Betts is still out:
Pedroia Bradley Bogaerts Ortiz Ramirez Shaw Leon Holt Benintendi
If you weren't dealing with egos, you'd have Leon 5 and Ramirez 7.
An optimal lineup you'll never see:
Bogaerts Bradley Betts Ortiz Pedroia Benintendi Leon Shaw Ramirez

The Porcello-Greinke matchup should be a really good game, at least.

Perhaps a step backward is in order to take two steps forward. Get swept, get Farrell out, and see what happens. Let's go.

Ray, you are not allowed to use logic. No matter how ill-conceived, the posters want blood!

That's the most bizarre two plays in a row in the history of baseball.
And it happened in the first 2 pitches of the game. I'd feel confident in saying there has never been an 8-2-5 double play in the second pitch of the game.

Price meatball. Still using his faulty wind up. I've had and seen enough.

When Hanley hits it, he hits it hard. Had the pleasure of seeing a HR like that against the Orioles in June.

Have to score about five more runs with Price on the mound. Go offense!

That was a 97 mph ground ball hit by JBJ for the error. Hard hit.

This is what a offense needs to do against a struggling pitcher

Just hit grounders. We've hit four so far and the DBacks infield has misplayed all of them.

Weird move to try this early to get Dustin rest. Hopefully Price can keep this lead and it doesn't backfire
