I'm curious which Falcons defense we get... the defense from the playoffs which has been pretty dominant or the defense from regular season which was not very good. The thing that does make me feel better about the defense from the playoffs is they have been generating almost all their pressure which has been a ton of it from blitzing and you don't usually get away with blitzing Brady I don't remember the Falcons playing great D against the Pack. What I remember is Rodgers being inaccurate and the receivers dropping a few balls along with a couple turnovers in the first half. Next thing you know its 24-0 at the half, game over. I think it was more a matter of the Pack playing a very bad game. We shall see and I am really jacked for this game but I think Tom is going to put on a clinic!

The Falcons defense has never been great. It's mostly been very bad. It seems like Rodgers really only thrives when he has tons of time to run around and allow his recievers to get open. This style of play makes the talking heads drool but causes serious issues on blitzes. That's what you saw in the Falcons Packers game. Blitz against Tom Brady and you lose. Period. He's too quick with his reads and too adept at throwing his recievers into open pastures. The only questions I have about this game are: 1. Can the Patriots slow down the Falcons offense? The last time this NE defense got embarrassed was the infamous Chiefs game from 2.5 years ago. I doubt that this defense, perfectly suited to deal with Atlanta's strengths, allows more than thirty points to a team that has averaged 33. 2. Can the Patriots protect the football? This Falcons defense has survived with timely turnovers. Other than that, it has been pretty putrid. Even in the playoffs, Ripnowski's fumble on the goal line and Wilson's stumble into his own endzone bailed out an Atlanta defense that is undersized and painfully thin in the secondary. I think this should be the Super Bowl (finally) in which Brady eviscerates the opposition and the defense frustrates the opposing offense enough that we get a blowout. Should be fun regardless..

I hate the over confidence every where... most people talking blow out and most of the talk is about Brady getting the 5th ring and Goodell having to hand them the trophy after suspending Brady... HATE IT!

HATE IT! The only thing that matters is whether the team is overconfident. The fans and media won't affect the outcome.

How about "The only thing that matters in terms of overconfidence, is whether the team is overconfident"? They won't be, obviously. Odell Beckham Jr. isn't the Pats QB.

Yes you are right in reality, but it doesn't change the fact that I hate all this talk. There is an irrational side to being a sports fan and this is mine. I don't like that Clemson beat Alabama, Cleveland beat GS and that the Cubs won the WS either... none of that matters unless Karma and stars aligning etc is real. I don't believe it to be true but I'm irrational.

So amped up. Made Asian spicy sweet baby back ribs and jalapeno poppers with smoked gouda, chorizo and cream cheese. Go Pats!

Shannon Sharpe is a tool, even in a pregame ceremony.

Patriots are playing the worst game of the year on the last game of the year. Just like the Sox did in their last 3 games.

While I think McDaniels game plan has sucked and Brady hasn't been sharp, the Falcons deserve the credit; their D is playing fast and they are tackling everyone and getting a lot of pressure... if we want to say the o-line sucks fine but the Falcons are playing great

You always trust an Atlanta team to choke. It's like clockwork.

I'm still in utter shock. I'm just now beginning to believe that I'm not about to wake up from a dream.
It was totally implausible. If you missed this game and somebody told you what happened you say it was fake-news!
