If this is the next step for Avery Bradley, I'm taking back my previous statement.
Love what Brown did tonight.
Love the fight by Boston. 3 of their top 8 missing and they still put up a great fight.

He's been awesome and it looks legit. Not doing anything that's unbelievable, meaning it fits with his game and yearly progressions. I think the most amazing part of it is how young he still is and how long he's been around. He's a perfect example on why trading good talent and giving money is not an ideal way to build a team. People wanted to give him and a Nets pick up for Butler. That's basically like trading a good pick, Bradley and a top player like a Hayward for Butler. Btw, notice I didn't say Griffin... read a report recently from WOJO, I think, that basically said there's no way Blake is leaving LA.... I hope that's not true but the reasons to stay are pretty overwhelming. The only real hope is he feels they aren't true contenders and thinks coming to Boston would make the Celtics one.

Bradley looks great and I was also surprised that he's only 25, I feel like he's been around forever. But let's not go overboard, let's see if he can maintain his rebounding and assist increases over a full season and not just 5 games.
Butler is a much more complete player that can create offense and gets to the line at a very high rate. Bradley is still not getting to the foul line. In the playoffs when the pace slows, you need players that can create offense. Bradley still can't do that, Butler can.
As to Griffin always thought it was a pipe dream you could sign him as free agent. He's on a title contender, with two great stars and a great coach. Horford was on a good team, but never a true title contender. That's why a trade is still the best bet for us to get the star we need.

ESPN reporting that Sacramento is willing to trade their center . . .
Okay, it's backup Willie Cauley-Stein. Any interest? What would you be willing to give?

ESPN reporting that Sacramento is willing to trade their center . . . Okay, it's backup Willie Cauley-Stein. Any interest? What would you be willing to give? Sure, if the price is right. He's know for rebounding and D. Two things we could really use. The big question is what do they want? I'm think they want to win now, so they want player or players that can help them now. So we might not be a good match.

Yeah I can't seem to find anything that makes sense for both teams. Maybe if Rozier was showing up like he did in Summer League but . . .

I think Rozier might do it, but i'm not sure I would do that. Rozier is putting up better numbers this year than Willie, after really not playing last year. Willie has saw his playing time decrease and his numbers go down. Willies playing for a defensive coach, so that worries me. Is he really good defensively? We don't need a project and if he can't help Kings, I'm not sure he can help us. I would take a gamble on him, but only for a very low cost. I really like Rozier and his skill set.

I like Rozier too but, at some point, you have to deal from your strengths to fix a weakness.
I remember liking WCS out of college and he put up decent stats (in limited time last year). Have no idea why he seems to regressed early this year. You might be right though.

Why even bother? The NBA is such a joke! This season is going to be the third season in a row with the same Finals match up. For the Cavaliers their road to the finals hasn't even been competitive since LeBron James came back. Warriors have had one team Threaten to eliminate them from the western conference and they pretty much ended that by killing two birds with one stone by taking that teams best player and adding him to their team. The Warriors and the Cavaliers will face each other in the finals this year and next year.

See I don't see the Cav's and Warriors as unbeatable like MJ Bulls. They are great teams, but they have weaknesses. I love the way the Celtics match up against the Warriors.
The Celtics just need a rim protecting and rebounding big. They could be elite defensively with a big like that, with Crowder, Bradley, Horford and Smart. I think if we had a Thompson, we would match up very well with the Cav's.
Johnson looks horrible this year, except for that one game when he was hitting 3s like crazy. His rebounding is just horrible. Call me crazy but I would much rather have Sullinger, we really miss his rebounding! We currently rank dead last in league in rebounding!
In my opinion Danny needs to make a trade. I know we have had injuries, but even when Horford and Crowder were healthy, we were still getting out rebounded. Horford is a very good player, but a poor rebounder. He needs an elite guy next to him, not a sub par guy in Johnson.

Some guys I would look into trading for Tyson Chandler and Kenneth Farried. I know people will hate this because of there contracts. I just like the players and given their contracts and the current contracts you could move them in offseason if you needed to sign free agent.
Other guys on expiring deals Noel, Boguts, Alex Len and Zach Randolph. My sleeper pick is Alex Len. I really like him and don't understand why Suns don't play him more. With two rookie bigs, they might move him to get the rookies more playing time.

Cs supposedly interested in Omri Casspi. Not sure I get that one. Not that I don't like his game. Just don't see how he provides you with what you're lacking (Rebounding and Rim Protection).
I'd like Len too.

I'd like Len too. Only way Casspi makes sense for me is if your trading like Rozier and let's say Green for Willie Cauley-Stein and Casspi. Don't think that works salary cap wise, but something like that. That way you get your big and Casspi can replace Rozier. Casspi would add 3 point shooting. Not sure how I feel about that, but it does make sense.

Shaq a minority owner of Kings has come out and said unless Kings turn things around Cousins could finally be traded. Makes sense as he only has this season and next left on his deal. His value most likely only goes down from here on out.
So what would you be willing to give up for Cousins?
My godfather offer would be Brown, Smart, Zeller for cap reasons and both Brooklyn picks. Sure I hate to give up that much, but Cousins makes us a title contender and your not going to get him on the cheap no matter how many reports I see saying GMs won't give up a ton. I don't see Kings getting a better offer. I do this because those Nets pick no longer look like locks to be top 5, never mind top 3 or #1 overall. As good as the top of this up coming draft looks, I'm not crazy about the players in the second half of the lottery. Nets pick is currently #11 even with Lin only playing a handful of games. They have depth this year and no reason to tank.

I wouldn't like that deal BUT recognize you probably have to do it if that's on the table. Reasons I don't like it:
1. Obviously, Cousins scares us all. Is he Corey Dillon (a headache only because he hates losing and will turn it around once he's in a stable/winning environment) or just a problem child?
2. I think Jaylen can be a star in this league. Contributing early even though he really doesn't know how to play yet.
3. I still think that Brooklyn pick is going to be very good (particularly because I think Brooklyn will trade Lopez eventually).
4. The ability to add top level talent (via those Brooklyn picks) might enable Danny to extend the window (assuming all things work out). As some of the good/cheap players come up for extensions, you could trade them for future assets (assuming you can replace them for cheaper with those added youngsters). It's last on this list because it requires EVERYTHING to work out perfectly (for example, if Dennis Smith is the man that you get this year and Rozier steps up as hoped, would that let Ainge trade Isaiah for future assets???). Unlikely but part of my (pipe)dream scenario.
Again, despite all of these, I still think getting Cousins would be the right move. I wonder if it would require all of that but, even if it does, gotta consider it.

Not sure if you guys heard the Clay Thompson rumors that Steve Kerr has already shot down, but it was Bradley, Crowder, both Nets picks and another first rounder. That just looks like a crazy deal in my opinion. I would much rather take a day risk on Cousin's.
My Cousin's offer is the max I would go. I'm sure Danny would start lower, but I can see 4-5 teams if not more going hard after Cousins. Teams like the Lakers, Nuggets, Suns, Sixers and a couple of sleeper teams can but together very good offer to get Cousins that can include good young players and picks.
You can surely change players around. For example i'm sure Kings would rather have Crowder than Brown. The question is do you want to really go for a title the next few years or bet on Browns upside?
I just think Cousins is going to be traded at some point. I just don't see the Kings turning things around. There GM is just awful at drafting players, so many wasted picks. I'm willing to bet Stevens can get the most out of Cousin's. He really seems like a perfect coach for Cousins. A player's coach that gets players to play to their strengths. He would also be on a title contender for the first time in his career.

The Thompson rumor was all Scalls being duped by a fake rumor site. He and the cohost then came up with the pieces.
So ridiculous for a "professional" to fall for that.

Just wanted to thank Jeremy Lin, his injury has killed what the Nets had going early in the season. Forcing them to start a second round pick. Let's hope he's out for a while! Nets pick is back to #3 and things are looking good again.
Still very disappointed that Dukes awesome freshman are still injured. Man I want to see Harry Giles play, he seems like a perfect fit for this team!

I'd like to kick UMass for bringing up the Nets struggles yesterday Man I thought it was a good time, as they were playing one of the best teams in league. As long as they can't beat the weaker teams were good. The Clippers took a win for granted and it came back to bite them. The Nets young SG isn't going to have many games like he just had, he was a heck of a find though coming from D league.

After last nights performance I am wondering how much we can expect out of Horford. Certainly like the idea of him putting up 15+ shots a game.

The thing that stands out for me last night was Matt Barnes getting 16 rebounds in 31 mins, while Crowder had 3 rebounds in 37 minutes. Crowder needs to step up, he needs to be getting 6-8 rebounds a night for this team.
