For reference, the ABL season was thrown into complete disarray by things like travel restrictions between states. Sydney has played 2 games, while Melbourne has played 12, for example.

Kline was a Sox 6th-round pick in 2009 who they worked hard to sign, but he instead went to the University of Virginia where he starred.

...where he starred... and learned the absolutely awful UVA pitching mechanics.
For a top collegiate program, UVA's inability to turn out quality MLBers has been confounding, and I think their pitching robot factory is probably part of why.
At least they gave us the scout who signed Song?

There's speculation he might eventually succeed Manfred. How awesome would that be - Epstein is probably the smartest and most capable person in baseball.

I hope he sticks and gets paid. I liked Hembree. Dude was a bit limited and still managed to be a net positive.

Bradford saying the Sox are out on Hill. I’m cool with that. You’d basically be paying for 10 starts. But he’s going to get paid, and I gotta give that dude credit. He has had an amazingly lucrative career — especially given that he is sort of a late-bloomer and has real trouble staying on the field. All the more credit, though... he made himself into a really good pitcher despite it all.

I honestly would have guessed 29. I feel like he’s been around forever, but I forget he was so young when he started. If they can get him on a minor-league deal where is the harm?

Luis ALEXANDER Basabe DFA’d Made his debut last year. 2-14, 4 BB/5K 2 SB I have a procedural question. On mlb.com it says LAB is out of options so a team would have to have him on the opening day roster or designate him. Does that mean you can’t just sign him to a minor-league contract? That doesn’t feel like it does a player like him a favor, since he’d be great to add, but not necessarily for the opening day roster.

I may be wrong but I don't see why it'd be different than when a veteran who has had a few down years signs a minor league deal.

They're talking about him getting claimed.

All quiet on the Porcello front
I noticed that his hits per 9 were up and home runs were down...looked into it and he reverted back to being a sinkerballer
