White Sox released Victor Diaz, who was the 4th piece in the Chris Sale deal.

A lot of these stories reinforce my reaction to the Marcus Wilson DFA... if you are disappointed the fan favorite got released, just wait a few months till their next team releases him and we can get him back.

Glad he found an new home. It always sucks to see your favourite prospect get traded, but it really stinks if the return doesn't pan out. 12/28/2011 Boston Traded Josh Reddick, Miles Head, and Raul Alcantara to Oakland for Andrew Bailey and Ryan Sweeney Yuck! After seeing his Gold Glove winning and 32 bombs mashing 2012 season for Oakland I was happy for him...but pissed as a Red Sox fan...

Saw some errors in a few transactions that were posted recently:
SP shows that the Sox released Jesus Marrero, Robinson Montero, Beiker Pineda, Wilker Vargas, and Irvin Villarroel. However, they were all put on the Reserve List per MiLB transactions.
SP shows that the Sox placed Kawan Silva on the Restricted List. However, he retired per MiLB transactions.

I'm going to tomorrow's WooSox game as a fan but now I'm wondering if I have to bring a camera. I'll be there with gear Sunday but I'd hate to miss anything good.

I don't know if this qualifies but was just checking the falcons titans box score (I'm a titans fan) and saw Felipe Franks played for the falcons today. If I'm not mistaken wasn't he a former Sox draft pick but chose football?

I'm kind of stunned Andriese got an MLB deal. State of pitching in MLB I guess.

Sad the Sox might not make the playoffs? No fear...
TB: Rich Hill in the rotation, Manny Margot starting OF CHW: Kopech as stellar swingman, Moncada starting at 3B, some gay named Kimbrel OAK: Lowrie, Mitch Moreland, Frankie Montas as a SP LAD: Betts, and the guy BOS is still paying $16 million a year for
There's a few others, but it does seem like DD can take credit for helping build a WS team no matter what this year.

Hill is on the Mets — and sucks. Lowrie was last on the Sox when Epstein was GM. Moreland got traded by Bloom. etc.

You can't have Kopech and Moncada back unless you don't want Sale his 2018. We likely don't win it all in 2018 without Sale.

With a hat tip to the Effectively Wild podcast, Ryan Lavarnway has played at least one MLB game in each of the last 10 seasons but has only played in 162 MLB games total (a little more now). He is the hitter who has required the most MLB seasons to accrue that many games played.
