I doubt they can get up there but if they do then Wendell Carter is a perfect fit for them. He has a much better shot than people think. He will be able to stretch out to the 3 point line within a year or two.

No predictions because this draft is crazy. No idea who will be available. I truly expect some early shock picks and some players to fall. So many players that are all so close in rankings.
I'd love to shop Morris to the Timberwolves and Blazers. He makes a ton of sense for those two teams that want to win now. Come away with Spellman and Okogie. Josh Okogie is maybe the most underrated guy in the draft. He screams Celtic in my opinion. Spellman is very athletic for his size and is skilled. The guy can score, rebound, block shots and most important play team ball.
I'd also watch Robert Williams as he seems to be sliding right now. Seen him going in 20's of some drafts. I just wonder if Danny values a player like him after passing on Bell last year. He's passed on a lot of players that were just like Williams.
I will say this, if Danny really likes a guy like Donte Divicenzo and he doesn't go late lottery. Then trade some picks to get him. Picks like the Clippers or our first next year. That guy looks like an athletic Reddick type player.
It's going to be a really fun draft. I'd also love to buy or trade for a late second rounder. Going to be some really interesting player that don't get drafted. I just don't think we'll be able to get them without drafting them with a stacked roster.

Interesting Chris Mannix speculation:
More Howard is a fascinating free agent. Does he ring chase? Nets are paying him $20-plus million anyway. And tuck this away: Danny Ainge has liked—and expressed interest in—Howard in the past.

Howard isn't a crazy Idea. He actually makes sense if he would accept a Baynes roll. I just worry about him always being called a cancer in the locker room. You don't want to kill this teams great chemistry.

Buy that second rounder for Spellman; he’s not a first round pick in my opinion. Adding projects like him would likely be a one year proposition with all the picks coming next year; which is fine but he will only have a year to impress.

Seen him in the early twenties all the way to the early 40's. Given our future picks I don't think ownership will spend like 3-4 million needed to buy a pick that high. Bell cost 3.5 million if I remember right. Late picks in the 50's cost little or you can even send them a future second. Spellman needs work, heck most guys drafted do. At the same time he'll be able to rebound, block shots, and space the floor right away. Not that he'll play, but he's not some super raw guy like Robinson. He spent two years in one of the better College systems, learning from one of the better coaches. I also think his numbers were deflated just like Divincenzo because he played on one of the deeper teams in the Country. He'll be more useful next year than an overweight Yabu. Heck maybe he could help Yabu get in shape. He was like Yabu a year ago, now he's all muscle not fat. I'm not going to let next year influence my draft this year. We have no clue what those picks we'll be or if we'll even get them. I'll say this, even if we get four picks next year, Danny won't bring in four rookies. No way that happens.

Anyone have predictions for tonight? The Suns take Doncic. That would turn the draft upside down and be a huge shocker as everyone has Ayton going number one.

Woj said the Hawks finally smartened up and are taking Doncic. First 3 are basically set with Ayton, Bagley and Doncic then it gets interesting.

That would turn the draft upside down and be a huge shocker as everyone has Ayton going number one. That would be a gigantic shock and hilarity would ensue. The fact that you can't pinpoint right now that Ayton is a lock to go with the top pick tells me that the Suns are at least considering it.

I’m really worried about Philly at that 10th pick. I really hope they F is up.
Also, I think Lonnie Walker is going to be a guy drafted lower that when they do the redraft years from he’s a top 7 pick and maybe even top 3/4. Yea I’m ridiculously high on him.

Wow, Hawks trading Donic to Mavs so they get Young. Woj needs to stop dropping names before they happen. Ultimately, it won’t matter but what if a team loved Young and traded up to snag him here? Love his info but he needs to relax a bit.

Wow, Hawks trading Donic to Mavs so they get Young. As for the trade - will be interesting to see if it’s a protected future first or not. Don’t like the deal for Atlanta regardless. I’m not a Young fan but that just means he will be a star.

Jackson going to Memphis is good for the Celtics. I don’t think he’s ready to be a huge impact guy right away but I think he’s gonna be awesome so hopefully when he gets good Gasol and Connelly are old.
