Any one want to make a guess on the C's regular season record? How about how far they go in the playoffs? Assuming no significant injuries. What if any moves does Danny make? I don't think Danny makes any moves from here, unless something interesting unexpectedly pops up. Maybe some depth moves, but that's about it. My guess is somewhere around 55 wins. It's NBA Finals or bust for me with this team.

Doesn't he take away minutes from Tatum and Brown?

Moris is going to be needed in the beginning of the year because of the minutes constriction that Gordon Heyward gets in the first half of the season. The Celtics will ease Gordon back and he might even skip a lot of games earlier in the year. Edit- You might be right about the 60 win part though. I was thinking conservatively, but this team might have too much talent to think that way. This might the best group of talent since Garnet, Pierce, and Allen formed in their first year here. 60 wins is a hard feat though, I think this group can do it.

"Next summer Rozier will likely become a restricted free agent, meaning the Celtics have the right to match any offer sheet. But with Irving and Smart on board, the luxury tax beginning to mushroom, and Rozier’s wish to be a starter clear, the situation could become cloudy. Rozier also could accept Boston’s $4.3 million qualifying offer next summer and then become an unrestricted free agent in 2020. If the Celtics sense that Rozier is in line to receive a hefty payday from another team and decide that they would be unwilling to match it, they might also try to trade Rozier prior to February’s deadline. Although the past two years have been less bountiful for free agents than the free-spending summer of 2016, the salary cap is expected to spike by about $8 million next season, and many teams are in line to have a glut of cap space at their disposal. It will be important for Rozier to maintain a sizable role this season, and coach Brad Stevens has given every indication that he will be an essential piece, even with Irving’s return." www.bostonglobe.com/sports/celtics/2018/10/12/terry-rozier-and-celtics-aren-close-extension/99zIt8OgiATBe6v55nsLiO/story.htmlRozier extension- not coming before Monday's deadline. He's most likely gone unless the Celtics match a offer. Rozier has made it known that he wants to start. He's not going to get that opportunity here.

He's most likely gone unless the Celtics match a offer. Rozier has made it known that he wants to start. He's not going to get that opportunity here. A couple things: 1. They won’t trade him. He’s too good and Kyrie’s signature isn’t on a contract. So erase the prior to February talk in that article. 2. Like UMass pointed out they can match a contract then trade later. 3. Cap spikes always seem to come out lower than announced. 4. Wyc was talking like a guy who only cared about winning championships as an owner and would spend big. I don’t expect him to lose money, but he’s not talking like someone all that interested in making big money off the Celtics. He’s a true fan and extremely rich. I expect them to be smart but also pay some ridiculous money for some of these teams.

Yeah unless someone overpays in rich draft capital, I don't expect him to be traded either. He's making nothing for money this year on his rookie deal too. I thought that was kind of ridiculous, but the article was prevalent to the recent conversation.
Rozier isn't taking guaranteed money from the Celtics because he wants to start in the very near future, that's really the main thing we can take from all of this.

Almost time to end the off season thread and start the season thread, something to look forward to.
Is Tatum going to be considered the best player on the team by the end of the year?
Does Brown continue to develop into a all star 2 way player?
Do they stay healthy and unseat the Warriors?
Sox in the playoffs, Pats winning big games, Bruins rounding into shape and the C's opening up what should be a great season. Life is good

Life is good Tatum no; I’m tempering my expectation for him Brown, yes - I feel like his game can thrive without having the ball a lot.

Brown, yes - I feel like his game can thrive without having the ball a lot. Agreed. If Brown improves his dribbling then the sky is the limit. I know Tatum was the sexier young Celtic last season, but I still think Brown has the higher ceiling. That athleticism is goofy.
