Man gotta say I love Kyrie rocking that longer hair, he looks like a 70s player.

CBS sports site has on the nba line, what I think is a good article, along the lines with what I was trying to say about interesting problems the Celtics will have this year. How they fit 8 guys into 5 spots on the floor at any given time. Good/great problem to have. But, at times could be very tricky to keep all satisfied. I did not include M Morris either. I assume that Danny will find by the end of camp a trade partner for Morris. If they go small do they have enough rebounding? Is kyrie and smart on the floor at the same time? Hayward, Tatum, and Brown for 2 spots? Who is on the floor at the end of the game? At least 25 other teams in the league would like to have the same problem. Salary cap and salaries probably will not be a problem this year, but is likely in the very near future. Max / large contracts for 4 guys, tatum, brown, hayward, and kyrie will be interesting to see how it plays out. Hayward and horford now. Kyrie next year. Then horford comes off. Then Tatum and Brown come on pretty soon there after. I think this will be a great year for the C's.

Ben Simmons literally said in an interview on NBA TV that he’s never practiced shooting until this summer. How’s that possible? He also said he pretty comfortable from the elbow but obviously he won’t be shooting or hitting 3s because he can’t and that’s not his game. He knows he won’t hit a lot of jumpers but he will take them this year from the mid range.

Between him Fultz and now Smith that could be an epic bad shooting pairing if things don't improve. A bunch of crazy good athletes, but they all have shooting issues. Which given Embiid and what made them so good last year has to be a big worry. They no longer have the two Vets that really helped them in that regard. Going to be a good team, but they might take a step back. I still don't get the trade of Bridges and passing on Porter for Smith. All for a Miami pick, yet the Heat always seem to be half way decent at worst. Call me crazy but I'd be in win now mode with a guy like Embiid. He could get injured again at anytime and miss major time or even end his career.

It’s strange they traded him.

Jaylen in 4-5 early on at the line. He specifically said he was going to surprise people this year at the line. Hope it’s true.

So first impressions of Robert Williams:
- good ability to switch defensively, even on the perimeter vs guards.
- really long
- very raw offensively but his FT stroke doesn’t look broken despite poor percentages at college. In other words he’s not awkward there.
- haven’t seen much on the glass which I don’t know if that’s just limited opportunity or a concern.
He’s going to spend a lot of time in Maine, but his teammates have a lot of things to say about him. I try to pick up on little things that they don’t need to say rather than the cliche stuff. Kyrie mentioned his unselfishness and intelligence. Those are two things that can really help him develop so that’s encouraging.

More box score diving:
Smart only took 4 shots in 18 minutes. Maybe after getting paid he’s going to focus less on shooting. 🤞🏼

Kyrie announced to Celtics season ticket holder crowd he is resigning here next year. Put the rumors to bed and let’s play some ball.

So the rumors about Anthony Davis return. Would you do one of Brown or Tatum + Rozier and the rest of our picks for Davis? I know the first answer is probably "no" because I also love this team, but keep in mind that you add Davis into the mix and you chip almost automatically if everyone stays healthy.

I’m not sure what you mean by “all our future picks?” Do you just mean the ones that aren’t ours? You need to trade salary too, so what’s that salary? It’s really complicated and hard to deal for Davis this year without giving up a lot of players plus picks. Salary wise, it’s probably Smart, Brown/Tatum, and Rozier/Morris. They can’t really deal Brown, Smart and Rozier together. Tatum is a better prospect, but Brown fits better on a roster with Davis and Horford. The entire thing makes my head spin and I’m really happy with what they have and I doubt NOLA trades him this year so everything changes come the offseason.

Yeah I got carried away lol but I meant the ones that aren't ours. Maybe not all of them, but it's somehow safe to assume at least two would be in play. It's tough to match salaries because I for one would be okay with dealing Brown + Horford for Davis, but it doesn't make any sense for NOLA. It's one of those trades that never happen but goddamn would Davis be an upgrade on this roster.

Davis cant be traded here until after the next league yr starts (July 1). Kyrie's current deal must expire first.

While its crazy fun to talk about Davis, he's under contract for 3 more years. Next year they can offer him a super max extension. He's not getting traded unless he demands a trade.

Also looking forward to what all these guys perceived value will become with one more year of development. Tatum, Brown, Rozier, the new guy Williams and more guys like Ojelye. Many many players who have room for growth which leads to trade value. It is going to be fun.
