Can we say it? JBJ is HOT!
Not often that Mookie is pressing - trying hard to make something happen (too hard?). slump won't last long.

Pearce instead of Swihart? Don't want a GIDP here. Oh well here's your chance, Blake!

The Boston Run Factory is playing a great concert now. Nunez swing is funky enough to be perfect for that weird size winding pitcher.

We are up 6-0 and guess who are hitless in this game so far? Mookie, Beni and JDM. When our team hits on all cylinders...well, we end up 50 games over .500!

And Xander hit an 82 mph ground ball so it was still a good move.

Man I love to see Swihart doing well after he was in purgatory for a while.

I can’t wait until Mookie breaks out again. I love it. All this without Mookie doing his usual. Wait until he gets going again

We are seeing Price have fun out there. He can drive us (and the media) crazy, but this "great teammate" thing does seem real.

You're going from a situation where a hit scores a run to one where a hit or a walk scores a run. (The direct comparison isn't perfect, but consider the implication of the fact that Xander's OBP is higher than Martinez' BA.) On top of that you're putting so much more pressure on your pitcher. I can't find the stats, but I'm pretty sure hitters do a fair bit better with the bases loaded than when first base is empty. If Nunez were batting behind Martinez, okay, but the dropoff from Martinez to Bogaerts (or Holt to Nunez!) is nowhere near big enough to justify the IBB.

79 pitches through 6 - Price can go 8 today. 20 in the first, 59 through the next 5.
