So the Bruins will have played the teams with the 8th, 13th, 11th and 12th best records if the Blues win... what a set up It's been perfect, avoiding Tampa Bay, the Caps and now the Sharks is just tremendous luck. |

The Blues have been playing great hockey since Jan 23, top 5 in the NHL so I wouldn't put much stock in the #12 record thing. I fully expect this to be a dogfight as they play a heavy game that is suited for the playoffs. Going to be fun, the Bruins in the Cup finals is must watch tv.

I hadn't paid attention to the Sharks until a few games last series. Joe Thornton looks like a grave digger now. That dude aged a million years from the baby the Bruins drafted.

I think they always start the finals on Memorial Day.... it’s Dumb but that’s what they do Not just that, but then it takes from May 27th to June 12 to play 7 games if necessary. The Bruins will possibly play 7 games in 27 days. The Blues will possibly play 7 games in 22 days. Why do they need 17 days to schedule 7 games? They never used to start the finals on Memorial Day. It was pretty much over by then or the first few days of June at the latest even with the same number of playoff teams and games. |

Great performance after the 1st, the Bruins absolutely dominated the Blues. Great discipline, consistency, hunger and balls to the wall intensity. I love it!

I could do a 10 minute youtube video showing you that's exactly what happened, but just forget it. Edmunson was after Backes all game after that because he was so pissed off. I imagine most guys who legitimately high stick someone don't get that mad at their victim. It must be nice to always get way more power plays than the other team. I guess that's why Bruins fans argue with me about letting the players play since it would take away their advantage. I assume you did see Chara break a stick with an obvious slash on one of the Blues' two power plays and that's a non-judgement call that was ignored. At one point, the Bruins were on the powerplay for half the game when they got their momentum after 4 straight penalties on the Blues. But yay, power plays! |

I'd love to see the video that shows him grabbing his stick and hitting himself in the mouth. Watched it live and then they did a replay and it looked clear as day. There are bad penalties, but that wasn't one of them. Then he's on the ground and the guy smacks him in the head as he's taking his glove off to check his face and make sure all his teeth are there. Yea the guy was pissed it was a stupid penalty.
The Blues got a penalty when the guy just lost balance. Then no penalty for ripping off players helmets on purpose. It happens and yes Chara should have got a penalty. Yet it was kinda crazy clear who the best team was. Boston mistakes helped the Blues. First goal they just don't cover the guy in front of the net. Second goal was that stupid pass. Blues were lucky early, then it was all over.

Sorry jimed, can't see what you're talking about here. Edmunson clearly hit Backes and he should consider himself lucky to not have gotten 2 penalties on that play.

First contact with his stick is after it’s shoved in his face. If you want to argue embellishment then there’s an argument there but saying he grabbed the stick and shoved it in his face is not accurate in any way shape or form. And if you want to say he embellished it that’s fine but why would you cross check your stick “near someone’s face” that’s just not a thing.

It’s hard to say if he even made contact to be honest but he did cross check at his face so if he didn’t it’s bc Backes moves his face then faked it. Either way that’s the Blues fault. The Clifton cross check in the back was dirty, dangerous and completely unnecessary so I don’t get the complaint there. Add: Jim isn’t alone on the Clifton thing and maybe I need to rewatch it but nothing will change the unnecessary part. It was way late, from behind and the player was going for a line change... it’s completely on the player. |

Rewatched the Clifton cross check and yea... he dove... looked legit in full speed but he clearly went down on his own...
