First half nine turnovers, second half four turnovers. That is huge, if you stop the Pacers from running they struggle in the half court. Yet Pacers are best defensive team in the league, so it will get easier. Good match up to get us ready for playoff Basketball.

Kyrie can make tough shots though. Tatum should be more involved, but that's where coaching comes in. Yea and he can miss a bunch of them too. Umm the coach can't make Irving stop going all Irving. Like last game Irving dominated the ball less, quicker shots and kept going to the Basket. Tonight he just wasn't the same, too many crazy hard jumpers. If he wants to be a Superstar he needs more of game two. If anything, it looked like Irving finally listened to his coach. He seemed to change quite a bit in the second half. He was playing defense and looking to get everyone involved. I completely agree he was at the top of the reasons whey they gave up the 20 point swing in points in the 2nd quarter.

Sure he wasn't close to horrible and yes he did seem to change after timeouts which Stevens used a lot better this game. He's just got to go to the Basket more and not fall in love with his jumper and keep everyone involved. One bad quarter is going to cost us games against better teams. Like in the fourth he dripled for like 10 seconds then throws it to Brown with two seconds on the clock five feet behind the line. That drives me crazy. He was awesome in the first quarter though, he just changes when they struggle or things get close.

I’m just waiting to hear about how Kyrie is making Rozier suck tonight. What like 7 shots 9 points, compared to 19 shots and 19 points? That type of suck?

I recorded the replay and went back to watch this possession. Kyrie brought it up, gave it to Horford who gave it to Brown who dribbled outside the 3 point line laterally not even trying to probe the D, he dumped it back over to Horford around the 3 point line who was covered tightly so Kyrie sprinted over to get the ball from him. Kyrie got the ball with 8 seconds left and his back to the basket and Joseph all over him... he tried to break him down but Joseph played great D,,, Kyrie dribbled left trying to draw jaylens defender, who started towards him but timed things well so when he passed to Brown his length was there to contest. If you watch the play Brown, Tatum and Hayward stood still this whole time. It was great D by the Pacers and there would have been a difficult shot regardless but Brown should have adjusted his position to receive a pass from Kyrie as he was in a terrible spot. Your supposed to move an adjust as the play moves around you, but of course that possession was ALL Kyrie just being a ball hog... it was a combination of a bad possession by the Celtics (which didn’t start by Kyrie not doing anything - he tried to bail it out at the end) and great D by the Pacers. But in the eyes of the Kyrie haters it was him just being selfish... good stuff

Celtics get their first playoff road win in a solid minute, Jaylen looks like a beast, the team is really gelling and we're still talking about Terry vs Kyrie. Lol.

Road wins in the playoffs are a must for this team and the fact they over came some adversity matters. The fact they had a fast start also matters. I hope Brad adjusts his rotations a bit or we need Hayward to step his game up. Starting that second with both Kyrie and Tatum on the bench started the big momentum swing towards Indy. This is the NBA tho and expecting the home team not to go on a run isn’t very realistic.

I didn't think the Pacers were really going to test the Celtics all that much in this series. This series is already over.

What like 7 shots 9 points, compared to 19 shots and 19 points? That type of suck? Lol really? What about true shooting percentage? Given all but one shot was a three pointer, his true shooting percentage or heck effective FG % would both be higher than Irving's for that game. You picked the wrong game to compare those two players! Heck while not close to a good game for Rozier he wasn't bad at all, take out that one three pointer he was forced to take with one second on the clock and he was 2-5 from deep and he played some of the better D I've ever seen him play.

He hardly ever passes. I'm surprised more teams haven't done with the Pacers have started to do and send everyone at him when he does that. It makes perfect sense to blame everyone else for that haha, both Tatum and Brown had monster games and yet Irving kept shooting crazy hard iso shots even though he couldn't buy a bucket for like two quarters and he stopped passing for long stretches. It's just funny it's the thing people said couldn't happen with an Irving and we've seen it in two games now. Everything I've seen say Tatum needs to be the go to scorers and getting the most shots. He attacks the rim and gets easier shots and can draw fouls.

Exactly we never played a team like this last year, the Bucks were twice the team last year in the first round that the Pacers are this year. Good win, but it's a game they should have won. Frankly they shouldn't have won against the Bucks last year which is why it was so impressive. The playoffs start in round two and that isn't a surprise.

First road win in 2 years of playoff basketball comes with Kyrie on the court. The Celtics beat the Sixers in game three on the road last year, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

He attacks the rim and gets easier shots and can draw fouls. One, I described one possession which you brought up and since it didn’t fit your narrative you decide to what change the conversation? Two, The end of the game was full of possessions where Kyrie drove and kicked to his teammates for open shots when Indiana sent everyone at him. Three - Tatum drew zero fouls last night (all 4 Of his foul shots were a result of end of the game he just had the ball when Indy was fouling). Most of his shots were from the mid range - step backs and turn arounds. He was on fire taking those but no he wasn’t attacking the basket drawing fouls. There was one fast break where him and Kyrie had a 2 man game going and he got hacked that should have been a foul but while you can count that you should also discount it because it was a fast break not in the half court offense. Four - enjoy the rest of the playoffs nothing has changed here. The unreasonableness with how people judge Kyrie is unreal. Anything short of a perfect game and the guy is ripped senselessly. It’s beyond annoying.... I’m re-unfollowing. Do me a favor and when you respond please don’t quote this post just respond separately i don’t even want it showing in my notifications. Please and thank you. ✌️

Pardon the thread crossover for a moment but I can't help but think that Tuukka Rask is yearning for Kyrie to stay in Boston. Otherwise, he'll stand alone as the "can't ever please some no matter what" athlete in Boston.

Nice. Doubt we'll face a tougher defense than the Pacers, they played with unreal grit and purpose.

Great, great sweep. Actually not fretting *too* much about the Bucks. Middleton and Bledsoe sometimes run cold, and Giannis can only do so much against a good defense. Brogdon was a big loss for them if he stays out or isn't 100%. I think the bigger challenge will be the there-headed monster of Leonard-Siakam-Lowry. But one round at a time, hah.

Pardon me....Is that good? Well they won the game because of the bench so not really. Well, I saw that Horford had 12 rebounds, 5 assists and double digit points in 33+ minutes so I assumed that you were conjuring JLo there.

Pardon the thread crossover for a moment but I can't help but think that Tuukka Rask is yearning for Kyrie to stay in Boston. Otherwise, he'll stand alone as the "can't ever please some no matter what" athlete in Boston. I don't follow hockey like I do other sports so maybe I'm wrong about this. Yet I feel for Rask, he didn't do anything and he's a very good player. Irving made his bed, he forced his way out to be the man and wants to be a LeBron type player. He has set the bar sky high by way of his own mouth and actions. So maybe it isn't fair to judge him based on the player he thinks he is, but he has no one to blame for that other than himself.

Overall just a lot of good stuff all around. Sure Horford didn't shoot well, but he did everything else well.
Now the real test begins, I just hope this doesn't go to their heads. I love playoff Basketball!
