FA's not max guys to look at. Bogdanovic, Redick, T Ross, D Collison, P Beverly, and maybe Ariza. All with the exception of Redick play excellent d and all shoot the ball well. That would be interesting to see if Danny really goes after a Beal or Russell. I like Bogdan and Collison. I wonder how big a role Williams plays in the coming season on the boards. What big if any that the c's take in the draft. What does Danny have up his sleeve? Opinion!! I am not ready to go down the road that no max FA's want to come to Boston. Kyrie looked like a win in the beginning but is not really a fit in Brad's style. But he would have a problem fitting with lots of teams styles. AD said for probably a year he wanted to go to LA. That's 28 other teams besides Boston he did want to go to. Horford would be stupid to try and stay with the Celtic's if he has an offer in hand for $100 mil which is a lot more than the C's would pay.

He's older, going into his age 27 season so I don't know how much better he'll get. A guy like Giannis got him a lot of open shots. Plus he's missed lot of games the last two years, including the start of the playoffs two years in a row. Plus unless the Bucks owner is crazy cheap they should and likely will match the offer. They can't replace him if he leaves. I agree with all of this. I also would much rather give a great 3rd option the max than a poser #2 option like Russell or Randle.

Would be thrilled with 2 of: PJ, Clarke and Grant Williams

Would be thrilled with 2 of: PJ, Clarke and Grant Williams Clarke has TRex arms and no jumper. He's undersized and cant stretch the floor as a 4. Brice Johnson 2.0 IMO Washington isn't big or athletic enough to overpower defenders like he did in college and isn't all that skilled. Don't love him where he's projected, but wouldn't hate the pick either. Williams I like. His shot has looked good, he's tough, and proved himself in the SEC over the past couple of years. Length will give him problems, but he's good and at his draft slot isn't a high risk. I like some of the guys in the back half of the 1st round like Claxton, Langford, Okpala, and Alexander, though I'm not sure how interested Ainge will be in them. Bol Bol has crazy upside but he screams constantly injured to me. I like Herro and Windler as spot up shooters, but I'd rather have Windler considering where he's projected to be taken.

Wasserman hearing that if they keep the picks and he slips (as is rumored) Bol Bol won't get past the C's (either 20 or 22, NOT 14 obviously)

Bol Bol at 20/22 is the same as Williams last year. Just too much upside to pass up at that point

I don't disagree Brogdon is a good fit, it's the max contract I don't see him close to worth that. I also don't see a guy that will get crazy better if you move him up the pecking order either. Like go look at his stats against the Raptors, he was basically #2 in that series, only two less FG attempts than Middleton and his numbers were down across the board. He struggled against a good defensive team. Some guys take off when givens bigger role, other guys lose efficiency. Just my two cents but his perfect role is as a 3/4 where other guys create and he spaces the floor and gets open looks. He was injured during the Raptors series or at least fighting off rust after coming back from injury, I'm fully confident that's a bigger reason for his down series than "good defenses give him fits". He can shoot AND get to the rim, those guys are always going to be tough to guard unless he's getting double teamed which then opens up the defense. Ideally, that's what Kyrie would have achieved with the Celtics, but he never bought in the system enough and was never that much of a willing passer. The thing about Brogdon not being worth the max is a bit irrelevant IMO. If the Celtics have the space, they have to sign SOMEONE and Brogdon is a much better option than DLo or Randle. And I say that as someone that really like both of them, but DLo isn't as polished as Brogdon and Randle is a bad defender. Considering they have to sign someone, overpaying for legit talent like Brogdon is a better option than bargain hunting or giving that money to Rozier and Morris.

The LAL/NO stuff is kinda wild.
LAL will not have enough room for a 3rd Max contract unless:
1. The trade is delayed until July 30th which would likely involve Pelicans agreeing to do so (need incentive) 2. Reworking of trade or separate trades to move more money off of Lakers books.
Reports are that Pelinka didnt understand the cap ramifications when agreeing to the deal.
Meanwhile, Pels are reportedly talking about trading #4 (a pic they dont actually own yet). So if they agree to move the pic, they'll lose the leverage they have over the Lakers in keeping the trade date as the 6th.
I know superstar trades are complicated but . . .

Don't like the star players of the NBA? Then don't follow it.

Is it true that if the Celtics trade Baynes and renounced all their free agents they could get to 34m?
Do they need to renounce their free agents by a certain date? Or can they negotiate with guys and if they get someone they can then renounce rights? Like if they convinced Kemba to come here then they could rejoice terry and Morris but if he doesn’t they can still sign Terry.

I probably want to go younger at this point. It's Randle maybe Russel or bust for me. Add- Rozier is a okay backup plan to all of this.

Phoenix has traded Warren and a 1st to Indy for cash.
Atlanta has traded 8, 17 and a 2nd rounder to New Orleans for 4 and Solomon Hill
Minny has traded 11 and Saric to Phoenix for 6.
I'm going to be mostly offline tonight and it's killing me.

I'm glad the Sox are off on tonight. Biggest night of the off-season for the now building Celtics. There might be 3 trades within the first 10 picks. And here's the third (two picks in one trade for the Atlanta trade)- Dario Saric and the number 11 pick is heading to the Suns for the number 6 pick in the draft.

CBS says Hawks want Hunter He fits even better arguably just not as much upside... That means Garland would be available at 6 since the Cavs want Culiver.
