Bucks 2020 pick going to the Celtics... this was a salary cap space trade... First rounder? Yes top 7 protected then unprotected 1st in 2021

So we get a bad shooter wing and an undersized 4 and a "who knows" trade? That's just a classic Danny Ainge draft.
I do like Williams a lot though. Crazy strong, built like a bull, he should be really good.

That other trade makes even more sense now... 33rd pick is like a late first but without the salary cap ramifications.

Danny is litterally doing the Patriot system and I love it. Unless you loved Bol or Little your getting a very similar player at 32 and get an asset. Plus you save money.

Pick will probably be 25-30 next year, right? They have the best player in the league, so most likely.

So they swapped late first to dump Baynes salary and cleared the first off the books this year but end up with an early second... brilliant

For real? That’s huge cap space now... wow Who are they clearing the space for? Max free agent, to be determined.

Actually brilliant smallball by Ainge in a league where cap space is absolutely coveted right now. Love it! Belicheck style.

It's so insane that the draft is before free agency.

The idea of trading down from a late first round pick to an early 2nd round pick for salary implications should be named after Belichick.

Its so cringey seeing Bill Simmons awful takes on Twitter blasting the Celtics draft. Dude has lost his touch (if he ever had one to begin with).

It's really hard to have any idea of what is going on with the way they can't officially announce trades. It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen in sports.

For real? That’s huge cap space now... wow Who are they clearing the space for? Probably no one they can sign... but perhaps they can absorb salary in a trade if the right thing comes around.
