We just can't seem to catch a break. First Hayward injury, then Robert Williams has been out forever, then Smart, then Walker. Last two games first Tatum, then Brown. Then Hayward isn't feeling good again. Like how many games have we had with the team fully healthy? Look at 2018 teams built on defense can't maintain that for a whole season. It will come and go. All the injuries have made that an even bigger issue. Which is why we need a bench upgrade to add more offense. You can't expect a team to play crazy good D every game over 82 games. Not with back to back games and long road trips. Yet you can play crazy good D every game in the playoffs. A lot easier to play offense when your tired than D. I agree with what you are saying about the D and the lack of punch off the bench, but if you have 4 guys capable of scoring 20+ every night shouldn't they try spacing them out more. They also have a center who should be able to dominate most 2nd teams and be a real option for bench scoring. Then their is Marcus who is inconsistent at best but not useless. I think you try to get GH playing along with Kanter, Brown and Smart for more minutes to create some chemistry while giving some one like Romeo or Green more minutes with Kemba and Tatum to create some chemistry. Always have 2 of the top 4 guys on the floor and see how they mesh. Actually I think Brad is already trying to do this but with injuries and all it has been hard. It would be nice if they could get healthy and have a good vet fall in their laps during the buyout season.

Something we can all agree with is his mouth should be closed a lot more than it is, every time he opens it he trips on things he shouldn't being saying to the media. Durant isn't much better with the media so thi should be fun to watch. Two discontent millionaire ball players trying to convince everyone how tough it is to be in their positions doesn't resonate well.

This team already has but it’s going to have more frustrating losses as they are in a weird schedule stretch. It’s somewhat easy competition wise but it’s brutal schedule wise with very few days off.
They just played the Sixers but it was the second night of a back to back and 3rd in 4 nights and 5th in 7. They went from Boston (Friday) to Chicago (Sat) to Washington (Monday) to Boston (wed) to Philly (Thursday). It’s no surprise they lost to the Spurs and Sixers at the end of that stretch.
Then they had one whole day off before having 4 more games in 6 nights. At least the first 3 were at home, but then had to go to Milwaukee for a second night of a back to back.
All in all it was 9 games in 13 days.

Tonight was a night to realize that MS is one hell of a Bball player. He isn't perfect by any stretch but he is a really good guy to have on your team.

WTH is up with Smart? He keeps going from dreadful shooting to games like this. All season long. Not sure I can remember another player having such big swings.
NBA record for three point attempts in a game 24 by Klay Thompson, Smart had 22 tonight and made 11. Wow

It's a shame it didn't lead to a victory. Dude then talks about how he would have preferred a win and he's right there for Gordon Hayward after that big miss. Smart is one of the greats for sure. I know talking about the schedule and the injuries is going to sound like I'm making excuses, but it is what it is. Third game in 4 nights AGAIN. The next seven games are REALLY tough as well, don't be surprised if we hit 20 losses before 30 wins. We're gonna have to be really patient.

The scheduling was a joke - they had played way less games than everyone else well into the season, and then they go on a stretch where they play 9 times in 13 days. It made zero sense.

No Walker and no Brown and Romeo gets zero minutes. I’m going to just go with the fact that he must still not be right but if not it’s not something I’m happy about. He’s played good defense when he’s played, he should be getting minutes especially in those situations.

Yeah, its absolutely ridiculous. I can't imagine playing 9 pickup games in 13 days nevermind at professional length and speed. The toll on the body must be insane.

Add to that the fact they aren't healthy and it is a double whamy, not good. We will have to wait until the All star break for them to get right.

Kanter's numbers are just insane over short periods. 18 points and 8 rebounds in 1st half against Lakers.
Now 88-66. What a pleasant game to this point.

What a fun little game this was. Shame on a lot of the fanbase over on Twitter and blogs being all chicken little and demanding for Brad to be fired.

It won’t get much attention in a blowout, but this has been a comically bad performance by these officials.

I've never seen so many all-star type of beautiful plays by a team who lost by 32.

I missed the game but did ADs foul trouble come early affecting his first half minutes?

AD had two fouls half way through the first quarter. Third one came halfway through 3rd quarter and two in the 4th. It really wasn't an issue till the game was already basically over. They did say he was coming back from an injury though.

Oh god, Tatum looks like he pulled a groin in this complete blowout. Ugh.
What a defensive clinic this is.
In the last 17 minutes of the game through the end of the 3rd quarter, the Celtics have outscored the Grizzlies by 43.
