Very anticlimactic there and the game was especially bittersweet because we should have won. Getting outhustled just cost us. Still, what a shot by Jaylen to send it to OT lol.

Entertaining game to say the least. Epic shot by Brown to force OT. Not worried in a vacuum about losing to the Rockets sans Kemba. I can't stand their brand of basketball. They shot 15-55(!!) from 3.
It's just frustrating to see the Cs come so close to taking control of the 2 seed and have it slip away at home.

They shot 15-55(!!) from 3. Epic shot by Marcus Smart as well just seconds before that. It's a shame they didn't win because seriously it would have been one of the most insane wins of all time. Kanter is probably not healthy right now. He has been bad lately and didn't play tonight. Combine that with Kemba being out forcing Marcus Smart to start and you end up with 4 bench points. Still, this bench badly needs a scorer to the point of it being negligence by Danny. |

It was part hustle, part tons of lucky bounces. Yet like the announcers said the Celtics couldn't seem to adjust to the toughness. It was full on like a playoff game.
That team just exposes how much we need a big who can shoot or score in general. If you don't play Kanter, with Smart starting you get nothing.
Allen Crabbe was bought out today, which I thought was interesting. Yet he's been horrible from deep all year, which is shocking.

It can be frustrating or it can feel lucky we are still just a game back. Going into the weekend Toronto was playing Charlotte and the Cs were playing Houston. Not being 2 games back is the bigger surprise than not being tied. Glass half full. |

Yeah, when LeVert started going nuts he should have been doubled, tripled, I don't care, force anyone else to make a shot. LeVert had a clean shot to tie the game before the Smart foul that almost went in. Plus, how do you give away the ball with less than 7 seconds? OH MY GOD I NEED A BEER |

Horrific foul to end regulation by Smart and bad charge to foul out in OT. Can't inbound the ball cleanly to win the game. LeVert was the Nets only offensive option and they NEVER took the ball out of his hands and matched him up with Edwards in OT.
Now we have 0 bodies left for tomorrow when we get waxed by the Cavs. I half get the loss to the Rockets, but this is just terrible. Could easily be the game that costs us the 2 seed for good and sends us home in the 2nd round. WTF.

Yeah Celtics fans constantly defend Brad as if he's a flawless pariah, and yeah that game was awful on many levels, but Jesus Christ he does not know how to use time outs. Worst loss of the season. Love Smart also but he should be ashamed for his performance this game at least in the 4th quarter. Also I've been downplaying the need for a bench but our team is the walking wounded playing 35-40 mins a game and it might cost us the 2 seed. |

Brad's a weird coach because the Celtics play very well overall. They run some very cool looking and effective offense, the defense plays really tough especially considering how undersized they usually are and the whole thing just clicks a lot. He wins a lot of games. He does well with the young guys, trust them and what not. Plus the results are there. Top 4 in BOTH offense and defense, which is a legit sign of a contender. But then, there are moments which are so stupid it makes me question if he's got it to chip. Some bad rotations, not calling a timeout when shit's going topsy-turvy, not making a single adjustment mid-quarter... I'm seeing a LOT of Celtics fans angry with him, some even wanting him fired. He's not an unanimous figure anymore, far from that. I can't blame them.
Personally, though, I have to respect how good the larger picture looks. Stevens is a great coach, definitely one of the best, but he needs to sort out his own shortcomings soon enough or he just won't do it here.
I still love this team though. The anger is finally fading. Tomorrow is going to be tricky, but please let's MURDER the Jazz afterwards. Then we go game by game until I forgot how F*&CKING ANGRY I WAS TONIGHT.
