As a Bulls fan I sure hope not. I don't mind kemba and they could use a pg I guess but I don't see trading for Kemba being the answer. They are years away from being competitive and I doubt Kemba really moves that needle much.

I don't think we should trade Kemba, but man I'd entertain a package centered around Lauri Legend and Coby White.

Not so much because the value isn't fair but being a unc fan I like having white on the bulls. Markanen the Celtics can have though for all I care.

Looks like they are trying to flip Hayward and Kemba for picks/players to deal for Harden.

Somehow use the assets to get James Harden? I also don't see why the Bulls would want to give up assets for a 30 year old Kemba with suspect knees. This report reeks of NBA offseason "reporting" of just throwing crap at the wall.

If they can get Harden, without giving up Brown, then I would entertain it.

Could be but NBA teams do dumb shit all the time and my guess is Billy Donovan didn’t sign up to be part of a long term rebuild.

Boylen was such a bad coach that I could see Donovan making the Bulls at least an 8 seed by bringing back their team and adding a pg like dragic which would keep their long term flexibility. They should have money for a max type player next year. I'd hate to lose Coby White, markanen, Carter and lavine I'm all for moving but not sure what that does for Celtics. We'll see, also don't mind the thought of moving the 4th pick in this weak draft.

Yahoo reporting Hawks a player for Hayward. Not ideal since they can sign him outright. Hopefully, the agreed-to extension on the deadline means GH is trying to work with Boston to get them a return but things can turn quickly.

I'm thinking the Walker to the Bulls for #4 was to then flip that pick for Jrue Holiday.

Hayward is playing the market to gain leverage right? Then use that to get a similar deal with a contender. What I want to know is who besides the Pacers are in on him?

Guess there's not much reason for the hawks to want to do that when they can sign him outright though.

Or he could have a deal with a contender but Danny doesn't like the return. GH (and his agent) say "Listen DA. You need to play ball bc I can just as easily go sign with Atlanta and you get nothing."

Hollinger, Smith and others are pointing out that even if Boston got no players or picks in a S&T with Atlanta, they should still play ball since they'd get a massive trade exception with which to work.
Wouldn't have to match salaries to take in a pretty significant player.

Id assume there'd have to be some sort of placeholder type 2nd rounder swap?

Sorry, yes.
No meaningful picks would be traded (ie a protected 2nd rounder that might not even convey)

If they can get Harden, without giving up Brown, then I would entertain it. Danny Ainge usually keeps things close to the vest. Not saying the report isn't true but wouldn't surprise me if we see him pull off a trade for Harden either. It would seem a lot would have to go their way with potential Hayward and Kemba deals to acquire the draft picks and/or young player(s) to get a package for Houston though.
