Vazquez was no fluke last year and still getting better? Wow

Holy crap, Vazquez’ contract is looking like the Sox are stealing from him.

Loving the Vaz homer, but sadly i think it indicates that the guys are still hitting a super-ball in 2020. 411 feet with that swing? Come on.

3 pitches middle-middle for Chavis... foul, foul, whiff (well, guess it was a tip, but the point still stands).

I hate sitting Devers when he looked like he was starting to find a groove.... even against a lefty. I would ride that groove and would hate to disrupt any momentum.

I think Pedey and Nomar were clearly better players that just had injuries that cut their careers short. No offense to Betts, yet no player I enjoyed watching more than Nomar. If I were picking two guys from the past 30 years who had great RS careers cut short, they’d be Burks and Vaughn. Burks still had a better career than Nomar, and Vaughn’s Sox years were Papi-esque. They don’t get the sane love as Pedey or Nomar.

3 pitches middle-middle for Chavis... foul, foul, whiff (well, guess it was a tip, but the point still stands). I’m no swing mechanics expert, but I cannot understand how they haven’t coached him up to shorten the swing. Maybe at least when he’s got two strikes. It seems sooo obvious.

It is amazing to think that Vasquez was sort of the also-ran prospect for a while at catcher. His development really exploded. It is awesome.

He's not even looking at the ball, the head discipline isn't there right now. Trying way too hard to crush everything.

It is amazing to think that Vasquez was sort of the also-ran prospect for a while at catcher. His development really exploded. It is awesome. Spot on. I was one of the people who was really irritated with how the team handled Swihart (which I still think was poorly done) but at this point Vazquez makes that whole discussion almost irrelevant.

For two innings, Martin Perez is looking like the number 3/4 he was hired to be.
If anyone replies to this with the words “small sample size” I might barf. Let me enjoy some decent pitching.

pretty dumb steal attempt with 2 outs, in scoring position, and one of your best hitters up

Sox running game has been atrocious I feel like their base-running was bad last year, too. Is that true, of just my impression. So frustrating.

Second time in a week Peraza has shown us he’s:
1) Not a fast as he thinks he is.
2) Not as smart as he thinks he is.

Peraza clearly has way too much arm for 3B. Better put him back at second.
