Devers and JD just love to kill potential rallies I don’t think JDM will get it together this year. He needs the video, if only mentally. I didn’t know he blasted the pitchers until Eck said it, but he just seems out of sorts. Next year. Last seven games .333 .448 .625 1.073 OPS.

Yes this staff has some really bad pitchers, but there are some guys who are worse than they should be. I mean, there are some relievers whose stuff doesn’t look THAT bad but, well, maybe looks are deceiving.

Bummer that I can't interrupt kids Zoom classes, I would have liked to have seen Taylor pitch. I'll have to see that later. He looked good at the training site.

I mean, Taylor doesn’t look so much better... but he just seems to gave a better idea of what he is doing. I mean, obviously that’s the name of the game, but a guy like Brice ought not be so bad.

Man, this team totally sucks.
The thing about the Yankees is that they're a pretty good measuring stick to let you know where you stand.
The 2018 Yankees were a great team but they were missing that one extra gear that the Red Sox seemed to have that season. The Sox stood toe to toe with then and went 10-9 in the regular season and of course 3-1 in the post-season but more importantly the Red Sox won every game they needed to win against them - their wins against NY were agonizing for the Yankees. That's how you know you have the greatest Red Sox team of all-time.
Since then they are 5-21 against NY. That shows you how huge the disparity is against the Yankees now. The Yankees are truly great and the Red Sox are truly awful.
The Yankees got revenge on the Sox in 2019 and hammered them 14-5 which kind of reflected a big chunk in the 19 game difference in the standings. 5-14 is bad but 0-7, their record this year - is worse and you can pencil in 3 more losses against them as you know they won't win any of their 10 games against the Yankees this year.
One day, when the Red Sox can stand up to the Yankees, you'll know they're back. Until then the Yankees will continue to embarrass the Red Sox (if it's any consolation - just about every team (TB comes quickly to mind) beats up on the Red Sox now).

Julian McWilliams @byjulianmack · 2h Christian Vazquez on losing streak at Yankee Stadium: “they have no rings. I have one.”

Sorry for adding politics but Vazquez for President. Anyone object ? Aren't you in the Philippines? Did you feel the Earthquake? I'm not going to comment on presidential candidacy because this is one place I come to hide from that, but sure, why not?

We only gave up six runs last night, so in my book, that's sort of like a win.

Thanks for asking, the earthquake was quite distant, probably barely registered where I am. The politics was a joke, I'm hoping nobody responds with something stupid.

Sorry for adding politics but Vazquez for President. Anyone object ? Isn't that the line the Yankees (fans) use when the Red Sox are winning and they're not? "We have 27 championship rings and it would take you 2 centuries to catch up". You have Vazquez saying, "I like my one ring, the ring you don't have". All I can say is that I like the odds of the Yankees getting the next ring better than that of the Red Sox unless Bloom has the perfect 2013 storm ahead. Hard to imagine capturing that lightning in a bottle again.

Hard to imagine capturing that lightning in a bottle again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is possible. A few years ago The Yankees were an elderly team, with almost no farm system and Cashman made foundational trades that both helped the major league team and immediately injected young talent into their system. I watched all of these games, and they were painful. I want to believe in Bloom. I want to see an organization that is balanced with a continuous influx of young talent to augment their major league staff. I want to see them draft a starting pitcher and actually develop them, something they haven't done since Bucholz/Lester really. Honestly, I want to see a bigger shake up in their scouting/coaching/baseball ops structures. I had hoped we would see larger scale changes when Bloom came on. Roenicke is a one and done manager. It may not be his fault, but he's not going to last because not only does the team look bad, they look lifeless. The only thing that justifies this period of disappointment is the long term stability of the organization across the board, if I have to endure a 60 game suck-fest, I hope they pull off some trades that make the future much brighter than it currently looks.
