The other angle showed during the game, clearly shows half of his body inbounds when Wise puts his hand on him. Which is 100% legal, not Wise fault he just flops or trips or whatever happened. The flag was on Bentley, not Wise. Umm it was Wise, that was the call on the field. That's the call in ESPN box score. How was it Bentley?

I remember the ref announced the unnecessary roughness on 51 not 91. I'm not sure if he just announced it wrong or if the box scores have it wrong because everyone thought it was Wise.

Gilmore tested positive for COVID. Ugh... Titans no longer in the clear either. Gilmore was in the "close contact with Cam" group of 20, who had a separate plane to KC

I don't remember a second hit, Wise grabbed the shoulder of the QB, he flops down, 15 yard penalty. I'm so confused, everyone is say Wise because it was clear as day Wise.

Bentley hits him when he's already out of bounds. Wise was trying to hold him up.

brobible.com/sports/article/patrick-mahomes-fiancee-brittany-matthews-deatrich-wise/I think they just called the wrong number and adjusted after the fact like they do with holding calls all the time. I don't like the call on Wise I don't see the unnecessary part. Bentley barely touched him. There's hitting a guy late and barely touching him. That was Mahomes pulling a Smart and taking a flop. The penalty is unnecessary roughness. Guys touch each other out of bounds all the time. Should have picked up the flag like they did against the Chiefs where the same exact thing happened. Yet that video does show what you guys are saying.

Patriots have three guys test positive total now and have to cancel two days of practice. Which means we'll play the broncos getting only one day of practice. That's worst case type crap if you're starting Stidham.
Playing the game meant Gilmore who tested positive, had a chance to infect many Chiefs players, even the NFLs golden Boy Mahomes at the end of the game.
NFL had a half of year to get ready and dropped the ball. They are fining people for masks, yet allowing players with Covid to play. It wasn't rocket science that Newton wasn't likely the only guy who had it and you needed time to figure that out. I'm glad football is on, yet they just don't have a clue.

Based on league rules you can play 10 days after your first positive test even if you are still testing positive. Under that requirement Cam Newton can play on Monday... weird

Where do you get that? I've seen you can play if you have two negative tests in a row 24 hours a part. They got rid of the time windows like a week ago and the rules are different if you have symptoms compared to if you do. I haven't seen anything that says you can play after testing positive without those two negative tests.

I heard a reporter talking about it but here’s one breakdown: www.google.com/amp/s/www.sportingnews.com/us/amp/nfl/news/nfl-covid-rules-coronavirus-football-2020/rovse8r08zbu1quh7y3joydahFollowing a positive test, if the player is asymptomatic, he can return once: 10 days have passed since the initial positive test; OR Five days have passed since the initial positive test and the player receives two consecutive negative PCR virus tests at least 24 hours apart within that five-day period

I checked the NFL site and those are the most current guidelines i could find there as well. They recently changed some mask rules and the number of people that can gather together etc but i didn’t find anything on what I posted.
The reasoning that was given is there are people who can be asymptomatic for weeks and weeks but not be carrying active virus. They’ll still trigger the test as a positive though. Don’t shoot the messenger

I'd love to know why they even added that first part, maybe so just one final negative test allows a guy to play? You don't have to wait for a second one?

If you want to say it won’t happen that’s a different story. operations.nfl.com/football-ops/return-to-play/testing-screening-treatment/Where does it say that? It says ten days after a positive test, have to be approved by team doctor. Players have to undergo things like cardiac screenings. You are taking that first part and making an assumption, same as I am with no Doctor is going to allow a player who is testing positive to play. It's on the Doctors. Now maybe if a player has antibodies, which means he's actually moved past it, that could happen. Yet it's on the Doctors and what they think. Considering the Doctors don't fully understand Covid yet, I think it's a safe assumption they err on the side of caution. If you want to talk in facts, it's not a guy can test positive and play after ten days while still be positive. It's he can only do that if a Doctor signs off on it, now insert your assumptions about what Doctors will do.

If you want to talk in facts, it's not a guy can test positive and play after ten days while still be positive. It's he can only do that if a Doctor signs off on it, now insert your assumptions about what Doctors will do. One: The fact that a TEAM doctor has to sign off on it doesn’t change the fact an asymptotic positive can play even without a negative test after 10 days. Just because it requires doctor approval doesn’t mean the rules don’t allow exactly what I stated. I’ve made no assumptions. It’s weird the rules allow you to potentially return without a negative test. They do, that’s what I said and that was the point. It’s odd you don’t need negative tests. Two: I saw the cardio testing part but then read it more closely. The cardio testing applies to players with symptoms returning. See below, notice the intentional inclusion of the word symptomatic. Players who have tested positive and recovered, or who have tested positive for antibodies, will undergo additional cardiac screening. -Following a mild, symptomatic infection, a player must complete at least a three-day progressive exercise protocol under the supervision of the team medical staff with appropriate clinical monitoring. -Following a moderate to severe infection, a player must complete a progressive exercise protocol for a recommended seven days or for a period equal to twice the duration of the hospitalization. Even if you want to interpret that differently, a player can still potentially return, per league rules, without a negative test. Just after 13 days versus 10, which again, in my opinion is weird.

Under that requirement Cam Newton can play on Monday... weird This is what you said, that isn't true. No NFL rule says that you can play ten days after a positive test even if you still test positive. It says you can potentially play after ten days if a doctor signs off with no mention of tests at all. That isn't weird at all, your statement if actually true wouldn't be weird, it would be crazy. It's an arbitrary amount of days, for guys who can't get two negative tests in a row. Yet the doctors feels they can't spread it and they are in no danger.

Based on league rules you can play 10 days after your first positive test even if you are still testing positive. Under that requirement Cam Newton can POSSIBLY play on Monday... weird Still doesn’t change the fact that league rules allow a guy to play after not getting a negative test in as little as 10 days but whatever makes you feel better.

The only thing making that weird is you once again acting like the rules don't include a doctor okaying it and what the doctor uses to clear a player. Doctor I've cleared Newton after running a battery of tests, he's 100% healthy no I'll effects. He's getting some negative tests, yet not two in a row which we know can happen. He's now had antibodies for five days and I'm 100% positive he isn't at risk to injury himself or infecting other so I've cleared him to play. That isn't weird one bit and you know that's what not getting two negative tests will be. The Doctor making sure he can't spread it and isn't at risk of hurting himself.

So I guess the 10 days and you can start being around people again after an asymptomatic positive is straight from the CDC. Makes it a little less weird for the NFL but you’d think they’d be more cautious and require further testing since they have the ability to test for active virus etc.
