I'm probably getting this wrong but I don't know if C's could do it. Since Adams makes more than the TPE, they'd need to salary match (use the TPE on Ball) and his 29M (or 24 I guess???) would be tough to match. He makes 29m? You sure about that? I see 27.58m this year then 2/35m after. That being said that 27.58 is more than i expected - i don’t think I’d want that deal. Keith Smith, ESPN and BasketballInsiders (Pincus) all have him at 29.6. But that is the final year of his current contract. Then he drops to 17 and 17.9 for the 2 years of the deal he signed post trade. |

It's the number being used in the Cap Calculations that they all have (so would not include the kicker).

Joe Vardon (Athletic) said that it seems Ball might be getting used as "a reward" for any team willing to take on Adams or Bledsoe. But umass told me Adams was super useful! Let’s make predictions: I predict they don’t make a trade but “were really close” on several. If they do that, it means Danny doesn't believe in this core and is ready to punt the season. It wasn't the case in the past, but it IS the case now. When did I say that? |

If you get Gordon you almost have to trade Thompson. Gordon would need minutes at center. Unless you'd think about trading Theis. I don't see including Smart to get Fournier and still trading two firsts. I could see it with Thompson. I see three spots of redundancy, TT and Theis, trade one or the other, Langford and Nasmith, trade one or the other and GWilliams and Semi, trade one or the other. 3 players all with varying levels of limited value. Other candidates I don't see redunancy and/or value. |

Here: You have the Pelicans shipping out Adams and Ball to get Kemba Walker. The Pelicans just traded for Adams and he signed an extension that's a lot cheaper going forward. Why would the Pelicans do that? |

I never said Adams was super useful and I stand by my claim that they won't trade Adams and Ball to get Walkers contract. If they want to use Ball to dump a contract they just signed a few months ago. I'd say that's a crazy smart front office.
