I think Danny does something, yet it might not be the big deals we keep hearing about.
I would take a long hard look at Bagley. Certainly not ideal that he's injured, yet that might actually be a good value deal.

C's are now 1.6M in the tax and need to open a roster spot. As Bernardoni points out, doubt they go repeater for this team so likely more is coming.

Truly a disastrous job by Ainge if that’s all they come up with. I’ve mostly defended him over the years, but that’s just a really bad job all around.

Fournier is a tremendous shooter, great scorer, passable defender, a lot to love here. I actually like him more than Gordon.

If they’re serious about contending they will do more but if they don’t I think it means they‘d like to keep Fournier around going forward
2 2nds is basically nothing to me

They better get under the tax... If they use the TPE on Fournier and his expiring contract and pay the tax that’s ridiculously bad.

Fournier for two seconds isn't bad. They needed a scoring upgrade and he allows you different lineup options. At the same time it's not great either and doesn't come close to fixing everything.

The acquisition cost isn’t the problem - this deal hinges on Danny getting under the Tax line - if they have to pay the tax this year and end up as repeaters a year earlier then this is a bad add. |
