Brad going out of his way to keel Rob on the bench.

How bough Nesmith in crunch time over Fournier?

Casual 60 point game for Tatum, coming back from a tiny 32 down

Wild game and a decent performance by Tatum.
I criticize Stevens on occasion, but I don’t think he gets enough credit for the job he does with player development. Tatum, Jaylen, Rob Williams (who still needs to play more) and now Nesmith has shown tremendous progress from the start of this season.

How does Jaylen go 5 for 24? I hate to pick nits, but these children are going to give me a heart attack. If it’s not your night, it’s ok. We don’t think your great because you score 17 with horrible efficiency. We think you’re great because you can each score 50 when you’re feeling it and can play lockdown d.

Wild game and a decent performance by Tatum. DECENT lmao. Tatum just led arguably the biggest comeback in this franchise history. This stuff does not happen frequently. Appreciate it while we can. EDIT: should clarify I know you're being facetious, but seriously we deal with enough negativity as a fanbase.

I can’t look at a box score and tell you if he was forcing shots or not, but I don’t want a guy being passive if his shot is off, that’s not how a great player gets out of a funk by being less than confident in his ability to make a shot. Fortunately, Jaylen didn’t and he hit a huge 3 pointer at the end of the game within the flow of the offense.

Mental toughness for days

Sorry I had nothing insightful positive or negative to add gentlemen, I was too busy watching Tatum and Nesmith highlights on repeat all day.
If Aaron Nesmith is turning into the second coming of Danny Green out of nowhere this team is going to be SET for the next few years.
One thing that is very *not* good is Romeo's body language. He wasn't even cheering the team on at all during their comeback and was sitting pouting with a towel on his head almost the entire game. Not a good look at all or a sign of good things to come for him. Hope its just something temporary and that he's okay mentally and in his personal life.

I'd say Nesmith is a perfect example of what happens when a young guy finally adjusts and gets his confidence. Kinda unreal how he looks last two games versus start of the year. Dare I say biggest transformation during a season of any player I can remember in recent memory. He went from one of the worst looking rookies I've ever seen to the player you thought you were drafting at 14.
I might bitch about how Brad Stevens did it, yet well done. I'm highly impressed.

LOL at Thompson getting the start over Rob tonight. Brad just can’t get out of his own way.

I’m not sure who needs to hear this, but Romeo is a really good athlete. That debate earlier in this thread is over after that alley-oop.

The Celts are getting one of the worst whistles you’ll ever see. Just complete incompetence by NBA refs, which has become the norm.

Such an unintelligent basketball team. They can’t stop committing dumb turnover after dumb turnover.

Another pathetic loss coming. Way to not build off of the comeback last game.

Another pathetic loss coming. Way to not build off of the comeback last game. The Celts are playing very hard and shooting lights out. So is Portland. Both teams have essentially the same record. Sometimes the other guy wins. That doesn't mean our team is gutless....not able to go deep into the playoffs maybe, but heartless no.

The entire NBA rules committee needs to be fired for how much they’ve butchered the replay rules. I seriously don’t know how they’ve made no adjustments to this debacle.

They didn’t play anything resembling defense all night, couldn’t stop turning it over, and after that horrendous offensive goaltending call, they crumbled and let the game get away from them. Portland made some incredible shots for sure, but this continues to be one of the most careless teams I can remember under Stevens.

Celtics are averaging approx. 14 turnovers/game, essentially middle of the pack in the nba. Portland is best with 11 turnovers per....The worst teams are over 16.
When the Cs were champions in the Russell era, they turned the ball over a lot with their fast break offense.
I think that contributing turnover issues are that we've had some new guys like Fournier, Langford, Nesmith, Pritchard being incorporated and a fair amount of ISO ball.
And the team has had injuries almost all year so there has been a lot of player adjustment to teammates.
Accept the fact that the Celtics are a good but not championship team even with all healthy. I know that you hate Stevens and are critical after every loss but dang...

I think he’s a very good coach who has some really bad in-game habits that should be corrected...but never have been. I also think calling this team “good” is a stretch. There are plenty of valid reasons for the Celtics’ struggles, but they should also be better than what they’ve shown this season.

Player number 1 guilty of this is Tatum. He plays so much iso and turns the ball over to many times within that offense. I hate to say this is a stevens issue because I really like him as a person , but it’s ridiculous this team is this bad. They aren’t even fun to watch really. Anyone who even thinks they go anyplace in playoffs is either super lucky or super blind. ( luck being if they actually over achieve and do anything). I could see them losing in 4 in the first round or in the playin series
