I miss box scores, especially the minor league boxes Love following the guys as they develop. I noticed the Greenville and Salem swapped leagues. Greenville is now High A and Salem Low A.

3/1 vs. ATL (7 inn.): Arroyo SS, Gonzalez 2B, Martinez LF, Dalbec 3B, Chavis 1B, Muñoz DH, Puello RF, Rosario CF, Bandy C, Richards P
Arroyo getting the next shot at SS. Looks like they are indeed auditioning for who'll be the primary backup SS behind Xander.
Also like Dalbec continuing to get reps at 3B. Devers is obviously the guy over there but no reason to let him get rusty.

Do we know if Ward has officially embraced Thad instead of Thaddeus? I thought a while back it was the other way 'round but I see "Thad" more and more.

I've seen several places that there is a max on the number of players at ST ... 75. How is it that Rosario, who is not 40 or NRI, is playing?

Edit: just seeing Chris's tweet about Rosario inquiries, so to be clear, Jeisson Rosario (this guy) is indeed on the 40-man.

My understanding is that he does prefer Thaddeus, but it might be that he doesn't care enough to correct it, especially where he's the new guy who's an NRI in camp.

Kyle Hart< despite the bad calls by the ump, was throwing the ball pretty well. His velocity was much better than last year. I don't know where he will end up, but I was surprised at the velo of his pitches.

Was reported after the season that he had lyme disease during the break between ST and Summer Camp and lost a bunch of weight. Seemed fine when he was shoving at the ATS, but wouldn't surprise me if he started to lose gas by the time he came up. Not that I think he'll ever be a true MLB starter, but would be nice if he turned into even an up-and-down swingman type.

Well there’s Yorke getting a 2 strike hit against a big leaguer...

18 y/o getting a knock against a guy with a 0.83 ERA in the majors last year? Gotta be a great feeling.

I remember conversations about Yorke's footwork last season and saw him a couple of times in his AB shift that back foot backwards to shoot the ball the other way, including on the pitch he put in play for the hit.

For Yorke to have not been completely overmatched there is very impressive.

Seabold’s changeup is pretty. Seems like the fade on it varies a bit, I wonder if he’s manipulating that or if it’s just an inconsistency. Either way it’s a strong pitch
You can see why scouts like the guy a lot. Dude knows how to pitch and he commands 3 big league pitches
Was pleasantly surprised by the slider

He looks pretty close to ready. His velocity was more impressive than I’d expected. But fastball, slider, change... all looked at least solid. How much is the last starter position an open competition? Is Seabold certain to start in AAA, or could he be #5 with a good spring?

Maybe he could shift to the pen but you already have Andrisse and I think I’m forgetting one more in long relief roles.

I guess this falls in the “good problem” category.

Thanks... that was what I was wondering. I guess this falls in the “good problem” category. I concur with The Mountain on all points. Plus it'd be hard for Seabold to leapfrog Houck in camp. I can't imagine Seabold starting in Boston unless they're are at least 2 and perhaps more (because of Andriese) SP injuries. I think depth chart for opening day with full health and no unexpectedly awful performances looks like: MLB rotation ERod Eovaldi Richards Pérez Pivetta MLB swingmen Andriese Whitlock AAA depth Houck Seabold AAA break glass in case of emergency Gossett AAA swingman depth Hart AAA depth by midseason Mata IL Sale I think they give Pivetta at least a month in the rotation unless he's brutal. They're not going to pull the plug based on camp.
