Pastrnak needs to quit being a negative. And I'm gonna stop talking to myself now. I was just thinking about how bad of a letdown Pastrnack is right now, and really has been for awhile. I'm starting to wonder if something is decently wrong with him, because he's not really doing anything right now. The entire team looks flat footed tonight. Through this entire Bergeron "era" the homecoming games always seem to be a weakness, which I've never understood. I wonder if there are some real ballbusters in the wives corps. Gotta focus boys. MARCHAND!!!! just as i was writing this, finally! we wake up!

Lazar with some nice blocks tonight, can't help but noticing. Rask is also holding strong here in the 3rd.

Ritchie has been a major disappointment in this series. I'm also with you on Ritchie. Aside from about 15 minutes in the regular season, I don't see much from this guy. He had a chance to win the game with about 50 seconds to go, and couldn't stay strong on his skates there by the net. He looks like he's trying to play the bumper off to the side of the net like it's a PP, even when it's 5v5. I'm ready for him to go.

Pasta had a nice pass on the tying goal. No assist, because I think all five ended up touching it, but at least he got it started. He's also had a couple of nice hits. But he needs to cash in some goals.
I don't know if it's injury or he's still out of rhythm, but he just hasn't been good enough.

Smith is clunky tonight. His legs are moving, he's putting in the effort, but something is off...

It fills me with dread when you dominate and get multiple chances like that and don't cash in. Those are the kinds of games that feel like eventual Ls.
It also feels like if we're gonna win it's gonna be someone like a 4th liner or Coyle or maybe a Defenseman. Not one of the big guns. Just feels like that kind of game.

It's like the scene in Star Wars where the best of the best of the Red Team is running the tunnel with the targeting computer--"almost there, almost there, almost there..." and it's some wily scrappy skywalker kid who's never even flown an x-wing who wins it. wow the anxiety and dread...

That really seems like the kind of GW goal you give up with a rookie who hasn't played in 3 weeks in the net. Sloppy and lazy.

True, but he needed an assist from the best winger in the galaxy.

Question for you guys.
How many potential Hall of Famers are on the current Bruins rooster?
I'd assume the perfection line has a good chance, but I'm not really steeped in hockey statistics.

Bergeron is a lock. Marchand is close to a lock at this point Krejci/Rask/Pastrnak/Hall have a chance. I can probably add McAvoy to that group too

I was actually thinking about that a while back, wondering how many Bruins from this decade plus would get in. I'm far from an authority on hockey or it's Hall, so just guessing: Bergeron and Chara are locks. Marchand and Rask probably would be if we had beaten St. Louis, maybe would need the Chicago win or another Cup to be sure. I think Rask needs a couple more seasons and a title, don't think he gets in without one. Marchand might need another title, but maybe just a couple more seasons like this one is enough. Krejci no. Pastrnak, McAvoy and Hall have the talent, but it'll take a number of years to earn it, obviously.

Refs tonight were butchers. I'm grateful they didn't totally lose control of the game and one of our key guys get hurt. Bad enough to have Miller take the hit he did.
Felt like the Refs were determined to get the Caps back into the game though. I hate it when the Refereeing feels that tilted.
Damn CArlo! Ha. Those boneheaded mistakes of scoring it into your own goal just kill me.
Team got a fire tonight though it looked like. So hopefully they carry this fire in their bellies for awhile and finish Washington off on Sunday!

What a fun team. I don’t think anybody had a bad game tonight.
Orlov left his feet and launched into a guy without the puck, how that major got overturned is ridiculous and he deserves a suspension
Officiating could not have been much worse
I can’t blame Carlo too much for the goal allowed, he’s been throwing himself in front of Ovie one timers all series long. Stuff happens

When the Hall trade happened I was optimistic it was a good deal and posted that playing with DK could be good for both of them. Well obviously it has turned out to be a great pairing that has transformed the B's into legitimate CUP contenders!!! I will say it is about time the B's hit it on a great deadline deal as years of trying and losing prospects for guys who added little was getting tiresome.
Now the not so outlandish dream of winning a cup and Hall signing LT for 7m or less is becoming a bit more realistic. As we have all seen, Hall is a very talented player. Truly anything is possible with this team. If Pasta can get on one of his rolls the B's have a great chance of bagging a cup. Also I think that Rask having that time off due to injury might be a blessing in disguise, could this be the year he stands on his head for the entirety of the playoffs?
In all seriousness it has been 2 years since the Pats won the Super Bowl so a Boston team is due!!

Like former NBA ref Tim Donaghy stated the league doesn't push for one team over the other so much as the push to extend series or big market teams to create more revenue. 7 PP for Washington come on they certainly seemed like the league tried their best to make the series be tied 2-2 last night.

Agree with everything except I have to point out Tuukka stood on his head the 2019 Stanley Cup playoff run. 15-9 ,2.02 GAA and a .934 Save percentage In 2013, 15-8, he had a 1.88 GAA and a .940 save percentage he's is way better than most Bruins fans will ever give him credit for, way better.

Which penalties did you disagree with? I mean 2 of the 7 were absolute no brainers, the too many men on the ice and Bergeron’s delay of game. Subtract those 2 out and both teams had 5 power plays.

Literally has the most playoff wins in this franchises century long history yet some fans claim he has never won a big game because he didn’t single handedly win a cup when the 1st line no-showed STL. It’s mind boggling, and honestly a little bit infuriating
