Perez is pitching like a guy intent on busting up a winning streak. This is going to get ugly really fast.

J. A. Happ is laughably bad. Incredible he can get anyone out. He's literally got nothing.

Dalbec's flyout probably carries better on a nicer day. Not a no-doubt HR, but had some oomph even though it was caught in the track.

Getting drilled on the elbow when it's 30 out simply cannot feel good.

Doubt it gets played, tomorrow either. How many other games in Twin Cities get cancelled this year and around the country? Not looking to incur the wrath of Norm or anyone else again with regards to what is going on in that city. Maybe the Twins should play the rest of their games (home) at Hammond stadium, Ft Myers? no interruptions will happen there, except for rain. If there are going to be mass cancellations around the country, as your crystal ball shows, how do you know there won't be any in Fort Meyers? Come on, man. .....come on, man......lol

Easy.. The last well known feature of the dumpster.. er, domed stadium in Minnesota was that garbage bag hanging in RF because HR's were flying like mad initially out of the park and they had to do something to slow them down. A quirk of the design? Some kind of AC/cooling issue wasn't it they finally settled on as the (probable) cause. Anyway.. Outside of the thunderdome/tropicana.. whatever they are calling that abomination in ST Pete now, probably never a worse stadium the last 50y, or since the Expos left Jerry Park. Haha, I was very careful to use the word "roof" and not "dome". I've turned games off just because I got sick of looking at that disaster that was the old ballpark. Something retractable would have been an obvious solution. “retractable”.....all it takes is extra money!!!! They probably did a study to see how many games would be affected and decided it was not worth the extra cost.

Snow seeming to pick up... white snow and a white ball seem a pretty dangerous combination.

Yeah, I don't pay taxes in Minnesota so easy for me to say. Still, that's got to be a place where it's only enjoyable to watch a game during the first week of August. Imagine a world in which public funds weren't used to subsidize private companies' profit-making enterprises...
Listen, the Rangers' new ballpark is an absolute travesty and the good people of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex ought to boycott it on principle, but I will say this: for about 5 months of the season, I'd rather watch a game outdoors in Minneapolis than in Texas.

Credit to Martin Perez for hanging in there. He did not look good at all in the first inning and he played in traffic for a couple of other innings but he did the job. He could have let the game get away but he didn't. Well done, Martin. Hopefully the bats can go back to work for him and possibly get him the W.

Second guess here. Wouldn't Whitlock be a good choice to relieve to start off the 6th inning in a 2-2 tie? He could give them a couple of innings and get them to Ottavino and Barnes?

Love to see Renfroe and Dalbec doing some damage. Renfroe has hit the ball harder than his stats show

just took a look at Bobby Bombs stats. SSS, but i feel awful for him. Gotta be tough. Hopefully, he shows some fortitude and turns it around. Fingers crossed.

Just saw that Renfroe hung out at home plate for a while admiring his home run that made it out of the park by about one inch. That's one way to be annoying, even when he finally does something good for the team.

The worst part is it has mostly been just terrible luck. Going into today, baseball savant has him with a xBA of .274 and xSLG of .532. Then today, he has the double and an out with an xBA of .920. Going into today he had the fifth worst BA-XBA, SLG-xSLG and wOBA-xwOBA out of batters with at least 10 balls in play. edit: He now has an xBA of .331 and xSLG of .654 and is fourth in the aforementioned categories.
