He needs to be sent down. They’re going to ruin him for good

It's gotta be time to end this franchy experiment. Send him down now that minors have started and let him try to sort things out there and if not let him go. Hes killing them.

Unless he does something I think this is the last night we see Franchy for a while

If Franchy can not hit and can not field, is there any reason to think that Chavis would be worse. This is now like leaving a pitcher with no stuff in the game while he gives up ten runs. The TV guys just mentioned Munoz as a replacement for Franchy. Not a bad idea at first glance, but he is not 40 man roster, someone would need to be DFAed.

Call up Wilson instead or try and get Brennan through waivers who they just claimed. As someone else pointed out if the Red Sox were able to claim him as one of the last teams with priority, they may be able to sneak him through. If not he's a reliever with a career 4.5+ era so it's not a big loss in my opinion.

This team can not afford to drop a game against the Tigers after losing 3 out of 4 to the Rangers.

The Tigers are literally the worst team in BB (30th in BA; 30th in Pitching). We should not be losing to them, yet I have a familiar pit of the stomach sensation which has previously amounted to a huge bowl of foreshadowing (I'm hoping it was that huge bowl of tuna I just ate which, BTW, was Chicken of the Sea, which is strange since there is no Tuna of the Land).

DD was GM of the Tigers 6-7 years ago. There is no way anyone can hang this mess on him.....Iggy contract or not.
Add: I swear....that guy is the favorite whipping boy for some Sox fans....LOL

Meanwhile, the Yankees look like they'll never lose another game.

I would *not* argue the HBP. I want Arroyo up, not Renfroe.

Benintendi trade looks like the worst one the Sox have made in like 5+ years.

I’m confused... I thought hitting a home run off Jordan Lyles made Renfroe a good player?

These squanders are getting frustrating.
Rangers and now the Tigers. Two teams everyone else using to pad their records, but for the Sox it’s been a struggle session.

Benintendi trade looks like the worst one the Sox have made in like 5+ years. Oh, it’ll be worse than the Reddick trade long term. Just selling way too short on a guy after effectively one down season. All for Franchy and some unknown prospects that the data say will never even make it to MLB. But sure Chaim, bridge year and all that. I will be bitter about that trade for a while.

Did Sawamura have command issues in Japan? His raw stuff is extraordinary... I would just *love* this guy if he had better command.

anyone who thought it was OK to trade Benintendi at that time raise your hand.....(as I fake scratching my beard). You know I don’t like Bloom... or how he’s dealt with a) homegrown guys; b) the OF. And my preference was not trading Beni. But.... I don’t hold the concept against Bloom. And I’ll wait for the full return to call it bad trade. The issue wasn’t really the trade. It was thinking Franchy and Renfroe could play everyday. If they’d signed, say, Brantley for LF... put Franchy immediately in AAA, not bother with Renfroe.... we’d be fine right now. My other beef is *anyone* can trade a valuable major leaguer for minor leaguers. But Bloom has been bad at replacing that talent at the major league level thus far. (Hence, his hand picked OF today at 0-8, 6 LOB).
