Them (and everyone else) pretty clearly has his height and weight very wrong. There has been a lot of speculation, but I don't think we've received anything definitive on a height/weight increase. Only thing I know for certain is that he was 4'9" and 71 lbs in 2012 (LLWS).

My eyeballs say 5-10 or 11 and 170 ish but I haven't calibrated them.
The article was a Mookie comparison but he's clearly bigger and stronger than Mookie.
Adding it up, we have Mookie, Pedro, Acuna and Seager in our ssytem now. Dynasty.

Ceddanne with a HR off of Abel and a double tonight. Honestly, he needs to be in AAA right now.
I forced the brass to promote him the last time and am doing it again. You're welcome!!

He now has 248 plate appearances at AA with a little more than 20 games left in Portland's season. So for those who think 300 plate appearances at a level is a good idea, he should have those before the end of the year. Yet this site still has him starting in AA next year. I know he still needs work on not chasing bad pitches, but his OPS is over .830 at AA even with this issue. I can't believe they will hold him in AA next year so Jaylin Davis can play centerfield in AAA.

I'm hoping and guessing someone can answer this but what are the rules for the AFL? Is Raefeala an option to go there? He's in double A doing well and can use as many ABs as he can get on his ascension. Considering from what ive read the AFL is about double Aish level talent(someone please correct me if I'm wrong) it'd seem logical to have him be one of the guys there from the sox.

Is there any scenario where the Red Sox are aggressive with Ceddanne and he’s up early next season like the Braves have done with Harris and Grissom?

Is there any scenario where the Red Sox are aggressive with Ceddanne and he’s up early next season like the Braves have done with Harris and Grissom? Highly unlikely because he's got a tremendous upside but is not a finished product and he's young. Contrast with someone like Kavadas who is older and really does not seem to have a lot to learn.

I'd agree - also Ceddanne's approach is one that could use some seasoning at every level of the minors imo. I think he'd really struggle to make contact if he was called up now/early next year. The defense would help immediately but some extra time at AAA to acclimate couldn't hurt.

Basically I would say raefella can come up now and be a positive defensively. So if the sox signed judge to play RF and a SS who can hit (xander) and theoretically offensively could afford to have an unfinished offensive product in CF I could see it. Even then they'd probably let Rafealla continue to develop in the minors and the earliest he'd be up is end of July/August if he pushed the issue.

I would suppose it matters not a whit who plays CF in AAA next year; they'll promote him when they feel it's in his developmental interest. And I do not understand the need to disparage another player in the system. They all "wear the colors." Some will have big league careers. Some will not. So what?

Anyone know what's kept Rafaela out the past 3 games?

Anyone know what's kept Rafaela out the past 3 games? He was hit by a pitch and left the game. No updates on his status yet.

(Rafaela) just got hit by a pitch in the wrist. He’s day-to-day. X-rays negative, so he’s day-to-day.

In terms of next year, this guy is ready to start with the MLB club. It will be interesting to see how aggressive they are with him. I expect him to be the starting centerfielder on opening day and back up SS.

I expect him to be the starting centerfielder on opening day and back up SS. No reason he can't throw a little relief too. Low leverage only -- don't want to put too much on his plate.
