Well, it's May 11 and this walkoff loss where the umps totally screwed us probably doesn't even crack the top ten worst losses of the year.

The Red Sox team ERA in the 9th and 10th innings must be brutal.
It's like no reliever on the staff can handle the pressure of pitching the 9th or 10th inning with a small lead or a tie where the game is truly on the line.
Well, the Sox are now 11.5 games out of first and about 7 games out of a playoff spot.
The Angels look like they finally have some pitching and they could be for real.
So with it obvious that the Yankees, Rays and Jays are probably going to wind up on the playoffs and LAA has a good shot, I'd say it's highly unlikely the Sox catch any of those teams.
So they have about 2 months to get their act together or else the awful performance of guys not named Bogaerts, Devers, Martinez, or Eovaldi will wind up getting those aforementioned guys traded.
Guess I should look at the Cards farm system and see what they could give up for Bogaerts. Woohoo.

Have the Red Sox even won consecutive games this season? If so, I can’t recall it.

Some real issues - Kiké is back to being what he was prior to last year's hot streak - not a regular caliber player. Verdugo - just not a great player to build around. Franchy is...Franchy. Bobbie D is...Bobbie D. Vazquez and JBJ's better days are way long ago. No rallies when the three bats performing well are all in a row - once they are done...black hole.
Can't rely on Robles, or Brasier, or Diekman, or Barnes, or Sawamura, or Davis, or Crawford, or Danish in big spots.
Folks, we may not be quite as bad as the current record - but we ain't great.
In 2018, it was great - then mgt said "let's just bring them all back and do it again" - which didn't work. Last year was surprisingly fine - and for the most part, "let's bring them back and do it again" - which is not working.
Definition of insanity....

Giving up alcohol is not easy, but is one of the best things you can do. I started wearing a fitness tracker and I was shocked at what alcohol did to my recovery stats the next day. Even just a glass of wine. You don’t need that crap.

I think the sox beat Detroit 2 games in a row, but they had to hang on for the 9-7 win late in the 2nd one.

It's May 12 and the Red Sox have won one series. Begin the fire sale. The math for this team to just get to 85 games is ridiculous and that's likely not enough. They managed to destroy their season in just a month and a half.
74-57 the rest of the way. A 56.5% winning percentage for the rest of the season, from today on.
I don't see this team instantly becoming a 60% winning club.

I absolutely need it I've watched them, although it's been easier to find different ways to entertain myself....I mean I saw Brasier take the mound in the 9th, and I knew the game would be over soon, and flipped the channel to something else, but I wouldn't let their crappy play determine whether I need to drink or not. Ultimately it's a game and the players get paid paid very well, win or lose. No sense messing with one's health because of baseball.

A total of +3.96 runs for Atlanta in the two-game series.

Not sure their exact methodology, but I'm assuming they're using something like tangotiger.net/re24.html, so the Plawecki pitch alone was -1.8 runs.

Hunter Renfroe has 8 HR’s this season. Just as an FYI. And a .265 OBP. He's cruising toward another utterly average season.
(Yes, I know, the replacement plan was wanting. But Renfroe was utterly replaceable. My own personal plan B (or C?), Tommy Pham, has a higher wRC+ and WAR total than Renfroe.)
