Kabengele was their best player with 14-6-3 and a +9 in a 10 point loss
Trevion was 6-6-2 with a team worst -19
Both had 4 TO
Other things interesting in the box score:
Hauser didn’t have his shot Matt Ryan did Begarin gets to the line at an impressive clip but wasn’t efficient otherwise Davison with a 10-6-6-2-3 stat-stuffing performance. Baby Smart, down to the inability to shoot!

Hauser couldn't get open...Matt Ryan is a shooter!
Davison was a bit out of control trying to do too much...which is understandable.
We might have a backup center in Kabengele.

With Kornet signing his 2 year deal today it’s a good time to mention something under the radar that Brad did last year which paid big dividends this offseason. He signed all the end of the bench guys to 2 year deals. If he hadn’t done that, then they wouldn’t have had the salary to match in the Brogdon trade without giving up a true rotation piece.

Adam Taylor from CelticsBlog retweeted a report that C's are brining Chinanu Onuaku in for a workout.

Onuaku seems to be working on his shot too. I noticed he was 29% on 1.6 attempts in Israel after almost never taking any in his career beforehand.
I remember him from Louisville. I remember his brother Syracuse Onuaku more

I remember his brother Syracuse Onuaku more I think he was MVP in Israel last year. Also, despite being drafted 3 years before Kabengele, ht's only 1 year older. His ESPN Draft profile said he was: - An Elite Defender - Very Long - Good, strong NBA body - Excellent rebounder and shot-blocker - Good athlete but . . . - Very raw offensively

Himmelsbach reporting that, while Boston DID check in on Baynes, they have no intent to sign him. For the reasons stated by others above, probably for the best.

I’ve been in a similar situation to Baynes where I had a random lesion develop on my spinal cord that caused it to swell and press up against the spinal column and it paralyzed me. Let’s put it this way- we are both lucky to be walking again. It’s not a guarantee when that happens. They have to bring the swelling down and you just have to hope enough myelin didn’t get damaged to paralyze you forever. I don’t even consider athletic competition these days, the fact he’s even able to hold tryouts is a major win for him. He was in a scary place that not everybody gets out of with a functioning body.
That said that’s not somebody you want playing minutes on a title contender at this point. I hope he gets a look in Australia or the G League but I imagine the nba career is likely over. It could be way worse for him, that was probably the least of his concerns months ago.

Matt Ryan hit the game winner at the summer game tonight.
JD Davidson and the kid 2nd rd pick Bergarin. Only 19.
I heard the kid from Israel playing with the national team and we have too much backcourt help as is.

Hauser struggles last game, I don’t know what he did 2night. Better 4-9 overall, 3 of 7 from 3 Begarin clearly has athletic ability but he’s so damn raw. 7 TO tonight, he’s not even a point guard lol Matt Ryan with another good game. 23 points, 6-11 from 3 Kabengele with another strong performance. 15-11-4 with 2 blocks. Team high +26 in a 2 point win. He’s probably got an inside track on that bench big spot. He just gets into foul trouble.

I’d like them to keep Ryan… too much shooting potential on a big frame to not, plus how do you not root for a guy like him?

If he’s not a complete and total stiff defensively I’d love to get him a 2 way or something

Does anyone have a scouting report on Matt Ryan?
Let go by Nuggets, out of Basketball for year and a half working for door dash. I find no scouting reports on my normal sites. No combine information.
Yet he can shoot and he was a darn good cheerleader during the playoffs. Put up the type of numbers you want to see in G league. Right now him and Thomas are way ahead of Williams.
Williams looks like an invite to play on G-league team who needs to work his way into a two way contract

Press conference for Celtics right now
I guess Brogdon is 13, Danilo is 8. Great job Brad Stevens. I have to admit I hated the idea of him as a G.M. but the ownership great move. I guess Brad would know what the team needs. I’m curious about Grant Williams future and Payton Prichard going forward. These guys have certain value but everyone wants to get paid.

I remember seeing Matt Ryan at Notre Dame, the only thing he could do was shoot but he was pretty damn good at that one thing

I don’t see him ever having the prerequisite skill. I don’t know if anyone is a long term NBA player on the summer league roster. Hauser probably is solely as a spot up shooter off the bench, but it’s all riding on his 3P%. Not sold on Kabengele, but he might have to do for the early part of the season at least. Davison we’ll see in a year or two.

Begarin is still just 19 years old and yeah he's raw. It's what he can develop into overseas by age 22-24.

It wouldn’t shock me if Begarin eventually develops enough to be a defense-first guy off the bench. He’s just too far away in his development to make any firm conclusions imo. It’s like signing a 16 YO 6’1 160 lb international free agent pitcher throwing 84 mph. It’s all about projection.

Kabengele with 20-13-4-1-2 and once again getting 5 fouls.
Justin Jackson with 24
Begarin with an inefficient 21 pts and another 5 TO. Gets to the line though
Davison with 9 assists
