Hey, I don't know the basis for your saying that Schill had an "ill-conceived, poorly managed vanity project"...or that it is "true" in any way. That is your opinion. It's not "an opinion", and your lack of information is not my problem. Besides wasting the public funds of a state that doesn't really have the money to waste, the whole thing is doubly offensive given Schilling's (highly public, natch) political views. As Charlie Pierce so eloquently stated, "Curt is a 'small government' conservative. He would like the government to be just small enough to fit into his wallet." I'll never deny that Schilling is a Red Sox hero. But baseball is ultimately just a game, it doesn't actually matter. What he did in Rhode Island actually does. Fenway, it is not my problem ( and please don't take my response(s) personally. I certainly don't take yours that way. We differ on lots of things, I think. That's ok. I am a Red Sox fan first and foremost. I am not going to examine your life in microcosm nor would you likely be willing to expose that. . Shilling was a hero for me. Simple as that....Over and out.

Lester wasn't even sharp tonight, and he still went 7.
This whole pitching and defense thing is kinda fun to watch.
