Hall back tonight. Good he gets some work in before the playoffs. I hope we set the records and all, but I really wish he was giving some guys more rest. That's way more important that chasing a record. for Ws or points. It’s not that easy to give guys rest in the NHL like other sports. You can sit them out some but you can only sit a couple guys out at a time. Right now Krejci has an injury (hopefully minor) so you’re already sitting him. Bergeron had one before so they sat him a couple games. But it’s not like you can just decide to sit 5 guys a night. You get 2-3 scratches to work with. Which is why we should be taking advantage of opportunities to rest players continuously rather than occasionally. Lauko and Steen are available but sit while guys who have played a ton play every meaningless game. Zboril plays, but instead of resting McAvoy, who was hurt int he previous game, or Lindholm who is looking worn out, we rest Clifton, who has sat several games lately. At least one of the top 6 D's rested, so that's something.

Carrick, Lettieri, and Ahcan aren’t in the providence lineup
They’ll bring a bunch of guys up for the last game on an emergency basis

Bergeron, Krejci, McAvoy, Hall, Orlov out. Ullmark inactive.
It's not an issue of "It's hard to find a way to rest guys." It's a decision to prioritize playing guys in home games. Which really seems silly to me. Like the fans would have revolted if Marchand took a day off to get ready for the playoffs.

Man, I hate this crap. Spending half the second period cutting with a Flyers broadcaster. Carlo is high-sticked and no attention paid to it because this guy is yammering on about his memories and other nonsense.
Do that crap between periods. We're watching a game, we need broadcasters who are talking about the game, not mindless chatting.

I don’t think that’s it at all, they needed to have cap space to call those guys up and activate Hall so they moved Forbort and Foligno to LTIR. That cleared the space to do so. They’ll probably have ppl resting the rest of the season

Laura played today and played a bunch the last month and a half but if he played last night it would put home over the cap? LOL. You can trace it the last 3 weeks or so. They almost never rest anyone in a home game, but in several road games they've sat a bunch of people.

They’ve been rotating guys out pretty much every game and want to make sure people don’t get rusty for the playoffs

Regardless of the end of the season and if the Bruins chip or not, let's all join in to toast the greatest regular season of all time in the NHL. We were here to witness it. What a group and honestly Bergeron needs to be in the Top 5 of greatest Boston athletes ever, Pasta giving Tatum and Devers fits for best current player in the city.

When I was growing up Boston was always a baseball town and a hockey town. The Celtics were great, but the Bruins had the larger and more rabid following even when they could beat Les Habitants to save their lives. I'm glad the C's are getting so much attention but this epic Bruins season isn't getting the attention it deserves. And there's no doubt that the Stanley Cup is the most demanding tournament in pro sports.

NHL is a hard cap, every time you bring guys up, you eat away at that cap. It’s one thing to do it with a couple games left, but you can’t do that for weeks and weeks. They legitimately don’t have the money.

They played a full slate of guys on Saturday, not because they were home but because they wanted to play their guys against a playoff team that still had something to play for.

I hope Adam Jones chokes on his cereal every morning as he trashed the Bruins as being overrated, lucky, etc during his tenure on the Sports Hub. I've not listened to him since he moved over to WEEI.

Getting riled up over what a Sports Talk Show host says is like getting angry over a National Inquirer headline. Their job is to get you riled up so you'll call and spark passionate discussion.
Logic/reason/context have no place. Felger has said as much. Merloni said it.
I bet if you were to talk to them in a bar they would say completely different things.

Pulling for a Panthers loss tonight, as I think they are a better matchup than the Islanders.

So - on we go to chase the cup. 538 has us with a 37% chance to win it all - with the Avalanche and Oilers at 16 and 10. I don't know how I feel about going into this as such a strong favorite, but the Bruins are so clearly the cream of the crop. Hoping they stay healthy, stay focused - but I can't wait for the games!

Okay, can we please not have a stupid "bug" be the thing that derails this historic season?
Pretty please?

Bs getting out played but up 3-1 so that’s good…. Would be nice to have a strong 3rd but Florida seems intent on making this difficult.

Right now, Ullmark is saving this team. Lots of litter errors on moving the puck, especially clearning.
