When Tatum is in attack mode, he’s a completely different player. He gets downhill so easily these days, and it feels like his shot starts falling more after he gets a few interior buckets.

Here's the thing, folks. Some of us treat this like a Celtics game thread - so there are comments that are pertinent to particular segments of the game. Fans react to what they see. If a player is playing like garbage for a quarter, or the team is out of whack, I post a comment about it. That's what fans do - we react.

wcp is one of my favorite posters and I absolutely love that whenever the Celtics are losing, I got some comfy "everything is sh*t" hot take waiting for me. Speaking of being sh*t: Grant has seen less minutes lately. Good for Joe to hold him back a little, Grant hasn't been very good lately and since we have some good depth, let him work shit out in practice. He looked so much better on offense early in the season with good, strong drives and his usual clean shooting. He's looking like a JAG. |

Weird first half. Tatum has totally lost his 3. White and Brown were fine, Smart and Hauser OK. Others not doing much - another invisible half for Grant.

Pretty quick evaporation of a 28 point lead. Outscored 40-27 in the second, now 12-4 in the third so far. Wow...that happened fast. 58% on free throws.

If the starters are going to play like WHATEVER the hell that was, literally just put in the bench to finish the half. That would require their coach actually coaching. Mazzulla has shown to be a great tactician so far, but stubbornness is not a good trait for a head coach. Unfortunately, that seems to be one of his main traits so far, especially when it comes to some of the in-game decisions. |

Honestly this team has such an embarrassing "off switch." They are as great as they can be motivated to be. This is their big current flaw. They are getting massively outworked right now, and the Celts are sloppy with the ball and loose on D. |

Tatum is 0 for 6 on threes, team worst -14 at this point.
