Man, the decisions on offense have gone completely pear shaped. Throwing balls out of bounds, missing layups
Jaylen and Derek are the only ones playing well. Pritchard is hurting them.
Scoring by quarter - 37-27-20

The Celts get a little momentum, and Jacque Vaughn instantly calls timeout.
Didn’t know that was allowed.

Smart is having one of his stupid games - 5 fouls, idiotic decisions. Tatum now -25 and 0 for 8 threes.
Listening to Grandy and Max (turned off the TV sound) - their comment - Celtics went into All Star Globetrotter mode and were careless with the ball - and they never could get it back.

They get it to 9 and Horford and Tatum miss layups.

Tatum still has some of the worst body language in the league when he misses a shot.

That was one of the most richly deserved losses of the season for the Celtics. Two guys came to play - Brown and White. That was the worst 22 point, 13 rebound game Tatum could have played - he just stops the flow of the offense and his three looks dreadful - just bricking it. And I have no idea what value Grant Williams adds to this team right now. Ugh - just super ugly loss...
Worst loss from a big lead since 2003.
Max's final statement - "championship teams just don't play games like this - 19 turnovers tells the story"

They’re starting to develop some bad habits, and they no longer have a coach who holds them accountable.
Not a good combo.

Jayson Tatum ain’t a dog, and he probably never will be a dog. Just unbelievably lazy play on both ends to let the Nets back into this one in the first half.

Yep, I guess those are the breaks!

I don’t understand the constant criticism of the coaches. First Brad was the problem. Then Ime talked a big game about how he was tough on them. But we all should have figured out that was bs because Boston nearly choked away the series against Milwaukee (without Middleton), Miami (!), and lost to a Golden State team with no depth and only one guy to guard Brown/Tatum.
I can assure you. Joe Mazzulla calling timeouts will not fix this team’s problems.

Yep, I guess those are the breaks! Learning experience and all. Pop would have murdered the entire team, but I guess maybe Joe will give them a "don't do it again" talk. EDIT: just to clarify, this isn't on Joe. This team has been on the Finals last season, they shouldn't need anyone shouting at them that this isn't going to cut it. It's a regular season loss against a bad team tonight, but it could end their season tomorrow against a good one.

He dropped 40+ in game 7 on the road against the defending champs But he lost a game in early March, so no dog in him!!! Edit: Ah I see you’re even discrediting that, you’re just a dishonest player in this convo. Gotcha. I get the overreaction after a bad loss but give me a break with this stuff I’m reading in here. Ppl realize they have the best record with the best point differential against good teams, right?

Max's final statement - "championship teams just don't play games like this - 19 turnovers tells the story" Last years champions lost 5 straight games at this exact time last year, none of them particularly close. It’s dumb hyperbole from max. February 27 2022- Warriors beaten handily by Mavs. 18 TO. March 1 2022- Warriors blown out by wolves. 17 TO. March 3 2022- Warriors beaten handily by Mavs, 15 TO March 5 2022- Warriors beaten handily by lakers, 16 TO March 7 2022- warriors beaten handily by Denver. Only 14 TO!!!! My fav thing about these non-nfl leagues that play at least 82 games is when people overreact to bad losses in the doldrums of the season. It’s like getting mad at the Sox for losing a couple games in late July/early august when they’re 15 games up on a playoff spot

I mean, this was the biggest NBA comeback in 25 years against a bad team at a time when they are blowing the number one seed. I think some overreaction is warranted.

It’s like getting mad at the Sox for losing a couple games in late July/early august when they’re 15 games up on a playoff spot Perhaps it’s dumb hyperbole. Hopefully he’ll be proven wrong. But two things to consider: 1. The Warriors have always turned the ball over at high rates due to the nature of their offense, which is incredibly pass happy and features their two best players seeking the ball off movement. When the Celtics turn the ball over, their two best players force the action on ball, leading to bad shots, pick 6’s and swipes the other way. And it’s been their Achilles heel in the playoffs for about 4 years now. 2. Championship teams, and particularly dynasties, respond positively to adversity. The Celtics track record shows that when things start going poorly, they, and specifically Tatum, start shitting their pants. What works for them when they are the best team in the league (movement, role players playmaking, Tatum and Brown being decisive against a staggered defense), goes away at the most inopportune times.

They beat the defending champs (who have the best player in the league) on the road in a game 7, I think people pick and choose what they want to count as “adversity” to make this argument. Very sports radio.

If people want to poop their pants over a March loss then by all means. I just outlined what happened to the defending champs at the exact same part of the season last year. Players do not care about singular games in March, and a loss in March shouldn’t be used to completely shit all over a team that is quite literally the best in the league against other good teams Horrible loss last night. Awful. From a blown lead standpoint it’s hard to get worse. It’s still just an early March game! They’ve got the 2nd best record in the sport and are one game off first. People need to step off the ledge.

Well, great. Historically it seems that you have had 4 negative comments to one positive for a team with the first or second best record in the NBA. So glad that we are not second tier! That’s inaccurate, but how many times are we going to have this same argument? If my posts bother you this much, ignore them and move on. It’s a pretty simple solution. You've had the same arguement with multiple people, chances are then you are the problem.
