Yes, 6-5 Astros. 9 Yankees outs until elimination. so you can now quit worrying about your prediction from April that the MFY would win more games than the 2018 Sox and waltz to a World Series win….

I have to see a dead body to stop worrying. Until the MFYs breathe their last garbage-odor breath through their broken, discolored teeth, I'm worried.
The Greg Stoll win expectancy calculator gives our boys, the Chestin' 'Stros, a 75 percent chance of winning.

I quit worrying about the Yankees winning more games than the 2018 Red Sox in July. By then I thought the Dodgers had a good shot to do it. Let's see 6 more outs first before I quit worrying about them winning anything. Haven't had to worry about the Sox. They were relentlessly mediocre since July.

Love ur elephant memory hard to forget such an outrageous prediction for such a flawed team. The MFY are ALWAYS over hyped, but some of us see it for what it is. NY bs media who are wrong about nearly everything. Lol

Lol They were on pace to pass their 1998 total and winning 109 games wasn't that outrageous. Then they fell apart in July with the first snag being the season ending injury to Michael King. Up to that point Holmes and King were excellent. Then the pen collapsed. Despite that their pythag record still had them with the talent of a 106 win team. Obviously the bullpen struggling put them on a path to underachieve their pythag. That and their manager.

The Yankees down 3-0 in the series, down by a run in the ninth.
Do they have Dave Roberts on the bench?

For the bottom of the 9th, I'll do what I often do at times like this. I'll stay away from the TV for a few minutes to avoid the stress. I'll schlep back to the living room at 12:06 in the hope that there's an out or two and nobody on base.

I’m not going to lie. Seeing the Yankees lose like this is almost as exhilarating as seeing the Red Sox win.
